Akehoshi takes a step inside through the altar door, and looks around. Hokkyokusei steps in after her and looks around as well. "Wow... Amazing..." she mumbles as she looks around.

Light suddenly filled the altar, and when it finally faded a Dragonair floated in a purple colored mist. Her skin shone in a bright green color, and her eyes were calm and warm.

"Welcome traveler. I presume you have come to battle me?" She said with a flick of her tail.

The bushes near the altar shuffled, and out into the clearing stepped a Turtwig. It glanced at you, then made its way over to Solana.

"If you do wish to battle, select a Grass type pokemon and let us begin."

Akehoshi nodded, and drew a Pokéball, throwing it up and releasing the Pokémon inside. "It's time to battle, Ryuu!!!" There was a flash light from the ball as the lizard was released from the Pokéball and appeared before her.

"Treecko!" it cried out excitedly.
He's still so full of energy... Akehoshi thought, keeping in mind that he was still weakened some from the previous battle. However, she trusted in Ryuu and was sure that his speed would help give him an edge in this battle.

Solana nodded in approval.

"What a nice Treecko, it seems to be well trained. I hope we have a wonderful match." She commented, delight twinkling in her eyes. "You may have the first move, since you are the challenger."

Akehoshi smiled slightly. "Thanks." She looked to Ryuu. "All right, Ryuu, let's start this right! We're gonna focus on your strong points! Use Double Team and then Agility!!!" Ryuu nodded, starting off with Double Team, creating lots of copies of itself, then relaxing his muscles to boost his speed.

"Turtwig, let us do close to the same." She said, and Turtwig gave a curt nod.

It retreated inside it's shell for a moment, allowing it to become more cautious and raise it's defense. Then, it glowed green for a moment, making a vine come out from the bushes and... begin tickling Ryuu? o.O

Ryuu giggled a little, making it's Attack and Defense lower a little.

Ryuu was Rolling On the Floor Laughing, desperately kicking to try to get the vines to stop tickling him. Akehoshi thought quickly as Ryuu struggled to try to get and keep on his feet. "Ryuu! Use Quick Attack!"

"Ko!" Ryuu nodded and quickly dashed away from the vines and towards Turtwig with amazing speed, aiming to ram into it.

"Haste can be unwise. Slow and steady wins the race."

As you ponder the meaning of Solana's words, Treecko lunges toward Turtwig, only to be thrown backward by a Protect. Ryuu struggles but finally manages to skid to a halt on all fours, accumulating a fairly heavy layer of dirt on its paws...claws...whatever-those-things-are in the process.

Edited because "Turtwig lunges toward Turtwig" doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

They're his feet? XD

"Ryuu! Are you ok?" Akehoshi asked.
"Ko!" Ryuu responded with a nod.
"All right, then... Try a Pound once Turtwig lowers its defenses!" Akehoshi said, and Ryuu nodded again, readying himself to jump in as soon as Turtwig's Protect faded away.

Ryuu pounces on Turtwig the moment the shimmering light around Turtwig vanishes, Pounding it and doing a fair amount of damage. "That was a good attack," Solana says, smiling. "However, I am interested to see how you will handle...this."

You start to ask her what she's talking about, but then you see Turtwig retreat into its shell and, while Treecko is still close, release a cloud of spores into the air. Toxic! D:

"Oh, no! Ryuu, look out!" Akehoshi cried out as Treecko tried to jump back to avoid the attack, though wasn't quite quick enough, unfortunately, being hit with the dangerous spores.

Shoot... We can't waste time with this battle anymore... Akehoshi thought, knowing full well the effects of Toxic. "Come on, Ryuu, we can't sit around now! Use Absorb to drain some of Turtwig's health!"

Treecko saps up a small amount of the spirit Turtwig's health, but what it regains is immediately erased by the poison.

"Hmm," murmurs Solana. "Perhaps...yes, Safeguard." A glistening mist surrounds Turtwig.

"Alright, Ryuu, use Leech Seed!" Akehoshi called out.
"Treecko!" Ryuu responded, before spitting out some seeds out towards Turtwig, planning for them to latch to the (slower) Pokemon and start sapping some health!

Seeds dig their way into Turtwig, who tries to shake them off with no success. "Smart," Solana admits. "Perhaps it's time to go on the offensive for a while." Turtwig nods and starts to Thrash.

"Alright, Ryuu, let's raise your evasiveness more and then follow up with Quick Attack again!" Akehoshi said.
"Ko!" Ryuu agreed and then used Double-Team once again and then the Treecko's ran towards Turtwig, aiming to hit it from different angles.

Uh... You won! Huzzah! Now go be the best you can be, climb every mountain, cross every river, defeat every opponent, blah blah ect ect ect.

Er... Since I would be killed for that... Uh... Yeah... Ryuu did that thingy. It was quite awesomenessneth. Many damages were didst upon the foe. Splendid... which makes me think of Splenda, or that artificial sugar type thingeh. So, actually, sweet.

Quite.

"Alright, Ryuu! Time to follow it up! Hit Turtwig with Aerial Ace!!!" Akehoshi commanded.
"Ko ko!" Ryuu shouted, and then went in for another hit, the poison stinging his body.

Ryuu began to charge at the Turtwig, with lightning speed. Faster and Faster, until finally nothing but a blur could be seen. Finally, Ryuu smashed directly into Turtwig, before it had even had time to think about what was about to happen. Turtwig was pushed back a few feet by the momentum of the speedy attack.

"Turt!" Turtwig shouted.

The strange turtle like pokemon, well at least thats what it reminds me of, began to strugle to stay upon its feet. The attack had really taken a toll on it. However, it wasnt out yet. The pokemon began to stare up at the sky, as if it were waiting on something. Thats when it dawned on you. It was using Solar Beam!

It hit Akehoshi like a bullet what was about to happen. If Ryuu got hit with Solarbeam, he probably wouldn't be able to take it, or last much longer if he did! She had to finish this quick. "Ryuu! Hurry! Double up your Quick Attack and Aerial Ace and hit it with everything you've got!"

Treecko dashed at Turtwig so quickly that when you blinked you had to look around for where he went! It was serious about this! It rammed its body into Turtwig as hard as it could, then jumped up and slashed Turtwig from above with its hand...paw... things.

Turtwig was wobbling... but not fainting! Oh no! Thankfully, Treecko was smart as always. As Turtwig raised its head and a beam of light formed in its mouth, Treecko used the speed given to it by previous Agilities to run for its life! It jumped into a tree, just as the beam plowed through where it had been standing a millisecond ago!

You think your palms were sweating.

Treecko hid out in the treetop waiting for your command while Solana nodded her head approvingly.

"Well done, little Treecko. I see you have raised him well, to be able to enact such quick decisions."

"Thank you...Solana..." Akehoshi said, and glanced towards where Ryuu had gone. "Ryuu! Try one more Aerial Ace from behind!" Ryuu quickly dashed quietly through the bushes and then ran out to the side of Turtwig to try and get a shot from behind.

Turtwig scanned the trees, attempting to notice something, but Treecko had been raised in the forest and knew how to get around without making a single sound. Turtwig was visibly worried. Then from nowhere, Treecko fell straight from the sky onto Turtwig's back, slashing at its shell repeatedly!

Turtwig gave a long "Tuuuuuurt..." and fell to its... knees? Who knew turtles had knees. Ryuu gained 1 level and .5 happiness!

"You have done well, Akehoshi." You realized suddenly that you never gave Solana your name, yet somehow she still knew it. "I wish to follow you to the Den of Dragonairs." she said and bowed her head.
