Link: A Slice of HeavenAbout:This little tutorial is a basic description of how you play on A Slice of Heaven. Being a wolf RPG and text-based, we are based off a general idea of Wolf Quest, where you can roam and hunt just about any animal the won't kill you first! I recommend staying away from the cougars and mountain lions, those things are vicious. The best prey to hunt is probably elk, hares, young foals, birds, buffalo, and deer. They provide worthy meats. :3 If you want to try and get close to a bear, you can watch it roar and run away from you, but don't steal its food, it has one nasty temper.
Now, as I was saying, be it this RPG text-based, you are able to have basically anywhere any number of wolves and any number of specie from them. Just try to make sure you can keep them all active. The basic goal in this RP is to make friends and have fun, and maybe lead a pack and have offspring. That sounds like fun, doesn't it? To play in an RP here you must first understand text-based. Text-based means you write out all of your characters actions, thoughts, feeling, and ectera. Then some other member or a staff member will come along and start role playing right along with you.
Then there's the NPCs, non-player characters, and the ANPCs, alpha non-player characters. They NPCs are generally owned by a staff member and they keep RPing them throughout your journey in that land, and they have been known to follow you around, and even become your mate! While an staff member controls the ANPCs as well, these are for when you try to claim a basic territory, you have to fight for it. Nothing comes easy, does it?
In A Slice of Heaven characters live on a land called Serathi, that's pronounced Sir-Wrath-I, for those who don't know. ^.^ The land has never been touched by human hands, and is always in search of Heaven. The land has seen a brutal battle, but not too much of a complex one, which turned the Outlands into a completely deserted place, that no one dares to ever go. Yet, it does make a worthy search, curious ones. Whilst living in Serathi, characters have the choice to live alone or in packs that are lead by alphas. Loners are lead by none and are known to be able to start outcast gangs and then overthrow the current alphas in one territory.
As I mentioned earlier, your character's can mate. This means that they can have some off spring to keep their lineage going, but the thing is with the offspring, not always are hybrid found. So say you have a Red/Arctic wolf and the other player has a Tundra wolf. The outcome could be Red/Arctic/Tundra, or one of the breeds could overthrow the others and make them recessive. This though, will be decided by a punnett square that Ianthe draws up for everyone to use.
Though, there are diseases that can threaten the wolves. Like rabies, and cancer. These are just two off the top of my head though. Then there's the fact that this being realistic, there are no wings or abnormalities like that. But, a different eye color is fine, just not pink, purple, or something like that. Some wolves can also be deaf, blind, or something like that, but they aren't shunned upon.
That basically describes Serathi, a beautiful area in which all the wolf breeds are alive and are no longer in danger or fear the humans that could threaten them. You could say, it's like
A Slice of Heaven, or a paradise. Let the wolves reign, and let them live on!
Plot:The Earth changes and revolves around one, but, what happened to Heaven? Something mysterious, my friend. It all began on only the most beautiful morning on Earth, a day after a hurricane had appeared on the coastlines in the United States. When this happened, a piece of Heaven, in sorts, broke off and flitted down its wings to Earth, where Serathi came into play.
When the wing fit unto Earth, it began to change, the area of disaster became a beautiful, peaceful homeland. When that change opened up, animals began to burst into the land with new life, and a small bridge of ice appeared over the ocean leading to the land, that only the wolves could see. Attached to this bridge was a small ice area, where the Tundra wolves had lived at one time.
Wolf by wolf they flocked to the territory, finding peace of mind. In the process, a new wolf breed was formed after years of creation and breeding, the Serathi Wolf was made. In the process, the breed began to spread throughout the land, and began to vibrate with the strength of the multiple breeds within them, and began to form with glory and strength.
Yet, in this, the wolves began to experience problems. As in problems, wars. They land became barren at once when the Great Territorial War was started. The Territorial War was once in which the female squared off against the males, trying to gain their positive rights to be able to claim land.
This fight was for more than just rights, but for the females to have freedom from one males control. Yet, in particular, there was a female Serathi wolf that was going against a male Serathi wolf. What they didn't know at that time was that they were going to be the first two Alphas of Serathi.
The male hissed and squealed as the female jumped at him. Her eyes filled with complete sheer, rage. He couldn't get out of the way, he thought it was to be a death blow. But instead, the female just tackled him over, and spat in his face. "You disgust me. You and your brutes may as well as give up, or never will there be another wolf again. Ever."
The male grew wide-eyed, and pushed the female off the top of him, and slammed her into the dirt. "How did that go again, princess?" she asked, leaning in closer and lowering his hind. "Because I'm sure there will be another, right from
you and
me." he whispered into her ears.
"In your dreams." she hissed again, and tried pushing him off but failed. "Dang you. Dang you and all your brutes! Dang you all!" she squealed, as the male began to make her his own, and mate with her.
"Oh dear, you'll get over it." he said, eyes filled with extreme pride. "And you know you'll love it, Aelita." he said, with a grin, leaning closer so now that their fur touched. He began the process, and soon, when he was done, the female lay still, heaving and huffing. "I'm done. And know what. That ENDS the war. I'll tell you what, I'll call it a draw." and with such said, he howled to the brutes, and had them retreat. The females had won by default.
Years later, after the war had been ended, the females were surely getting more respect, but many had died, and families were caused to start anew. But that didn't stop them, they started rebuilding Serathi, with extreme pride, and when they were done, the place had really become a slice of Heaven once again.
