I've finally began my journey, Brandon thought as he walked along Pachi Venue, I'm not just a kid anymore, I'm a pokemon trainer. Someday, I'm going to be a pokemon master. I will have hundreds of pokemon and will be known everywhere. But, right now I have two pokemon and only my family knows me, since I just moved here. So I will work harder.

Brandon very much wanted to catch another pokemon. He also wanted to battle with his Chimchar or his Buizel.

"I can't wait to battle with you," Brandon said to himself, holding the pokeballs of his two pokemon in his right hand. At that moment, a bolt of lightning struck a tree just a few feet ahead of him.

"Ahh!" Brandon yelled and fell backwards into a puddle of mud. He stood up and wiped off as much of the mud of as he could.

"Man! Well. this just sucks." Brandon said. He looked closely at the tree spotted a shadow behind it. The shadow was had curves, but the tree was flat. Therefore, the shadow wasn't casted by the tree. Something's right there, Brandon thought...

You stood silently for second, but nothing seemed to make noise or move. You reached your head around the tree, and was suprised to see a small Pachirisu eating an apple.

"A Pokemon!" You shouted in amazement.

You werent exactly amazed at the sight of a pokemon, but more that now you knew your journey really was starting.

Well, it wasnt anything that would make you popular to everyone, but every trainer had to start somewhere right? Might as well be now.

BATTLE?

"Yes! I finally get to battle!" Go, Chimchar!" Brandon said as he jumped back and threw his Pokeball. Chimchar emerged from the pokeball and quickly ran back to Brandon and hid behind his legs.

"Chimchar? No, you're supposed to get ready to battle. Go on, Chimchar, you can win." Brandon said trying to encourage Chimchar to step up and fight. Chimchar slowly walked up to the pachirisu and prepared for Brandon's orders.

"Chim... char." Chimchar said to Brandon.

"Now, that's more like it. Chimchar, use Scratch!"" Brandon yelled...

Pachirisu stood still, and turned its head sideways, as you ordered your pokemon to attack. Chimchar soon answered orders, by running toward Pachirisu with its claw up in the air. Pachirisu stood still, and let the attack hit him as though not expecting to be strucken. This pokemon must not have been in much battles in its past.

Pachirisu was struck, and hit back a few inches.

"Pach!" Pachirisu yelled as it began to shake, making electricity to use a Charge attack. The attack was sucessful and the battle was underway.

"Chimchar, use scratch again!" Brandon said to Chimchar. This time he seemed to be more prepared. Chimchar jumped at Pachirisu and...

The pachirisu was once again scratched, and it got an evil look in its eyes... And used growl! OH NOEZ! chimchar's attack is lowered!

"Chimchar! Use Scratch one more time!" Brandon said to Chimchar. Chimchar attacked the Pachirisu once more. Chimchar grew more and more confident as the battle raged on...

The pachirisu waited until chimchar was within distance, then grabbed him and used thunder, paralyzing him! He may not be able to move!

"Pyro! It'll be alright. Return to your pokeball!" iBrandon said. He grabbed Pyro's pokeball and pressed the button. A beam of red light streamed from the pokeball to Pyro, and he returned to the pokeball where he rest.

"Now it's time," Brandon said as he took out a pokeball, "To catch a new pokemon!" He threw the pokeball at Pachirisu and...

The pokeball wobbled a little bit, but the pachirisu was still too strong, and broke out of the pokeball! It glared at you angrily, waiting for you to choose your pokemon.

(For future reference, mods will usually tell you when you can catch a pokemon, or they will rave about how weak it is....)

"Go, Sprite!" Brandon said as he threw the pokeball that belonged to his Mawlish, Sprite, "Now, use Psybeam!" Sprite swung her head around and shot a beam made of some strange aura towards Pachirisu...

The attack hit the pachirisu hard, and it slid backwards. It used another charge and hit the mawlish, doing minimum damage.

"Sprite, use Bite!" Brandon said to his Mawlish. Mawlish charged toward the Pachirisu and used crunch...

Sprite managed to bite into Pachirisu's small body, and the little Pokémon squirmed in an attempt to get loose, letting out a spark of eletricity in the process that only did minimal damage to the Mawlish. In the end, though, the attack had forced Sprite to let go! You could see Pachirisu steadily weakening. Keep it up and you might be able to get it!

However, first you must deal with this little Pokémon's SUPER FANG! =D Oh noes! Your poor Pokémon is gonna lost half their health if they get hit with that!!!

"No! Sprite use Pursuit!" Brandon told Sprite. Sprite quickly used Pursuit. Both of the Pokemons' attacks collided...

Both of the attacks hit, both took the full force of the attacks... And both Pokémon went flyyyyyyiiiiiing. No, I can't tell you how that works, they just do! :P In any case, Pachirisu tumbles back onto the ground. It looks really weak now... It struggles to get to it's feet and releases some electricity! Discharge! Though this is relatively weak, too, and doesn't do a whole lot to your own Pokémon..

"It looks weak! Sprite, come back!" [I]Brandon said, grabbing a Sprite's Pokeball and pressing the button. Sprite returned to her Pokeball. Brandon took out a different Pokeball, one that was unused and didn't contain a pokemon.

"Now, you're mine!"[/I] Brandon yelled in excitement. He threw the Pokeball at Pachirisu and...

The Pokéball wiggled a few times before stopping. Congratulations, Trainer! You caught Pachirisu! Would you like to nickname this Pokémon or continue on without doing so?

I would like to nickname my new pokemon Volt...

The moderator pins a nametag to Pachirisu and pushes you to get you to continue walking.

Suddenly, a trainer jumps out of nowhere at you! Ah! "You! You're a trainer!" You know, I'd think I'd know that. "I want you to battle me!" Wait, hold on... "Go, Magnemite!" He throws a Pokéball, the Electric/Steel hybrid appearing from within. He didn't even give you a chance to say hi... Or decline. Sheesh. Trainers these days.

"Uhh... okay." Brandon said, "Go, uh, Shadow." He tossed a Pokeball and his Dark Eevee appeared.

"Use Tackle." He told Shadow. Shadow excitedly ran toward the opponent's Magnemite and attacked...

Shadow jumped up and rammed into Magnemite, only to hurt its head! Maybe that wasn't so smart. I mean, Magnemite is an Electric/STEEL hybrid, after all. However, Shadow HAD succeeeded in doing a little bit of damage! :P

As Shadow rubbed his hurt head, Magnemite used Thundershock on it, doing some damage!

Tackle is the only attack Shadow knows that can do damage, Brandon thought, I guess I should send him back and battle with Sunny D.

"Shadow, return!" Brandon said, and Shadow returned to his Pokeball, "Go, Sunny D!" He threw Sunny D's Pokeball out came his Dratini.

"Now, use Thunder Wave!" Brandon told Sunny D. Sunny D obeyed Brandon's orders and released a burst of electricity...

The electric attack, amazingly, paralyzed the Magnemite!

"Magnemite! Use Metal Sound followed by Tackle!" the trainer commanded. The Pokémon managed to pull through it's paralasys and used both attacks successfully, the Metal Sound lowering Sunny D's defense and then the Tackle doing more damage that way!

"Sunny D, use Wrap!" Brandon commanded his Dratini. Sunny D drew closer to the target and attacked with full power!

The wrap squeezed the enemy pokemon, and it was paralized, and couldn't do anything! Despite its inability to move, it still looked strong...

"Sunny D, continue to use wrap!" Brandon said to his Dratini. If Magnemite doesn't escape from Sunny D's Wrap, then Sunny D should defeat it soon, Brandon thought. If he was right, then this battle should end soon...

Will the real Dratini please stand up, please stand up, please stand up? Oh wait, you said WRAP. Sorry. Dratini bundles up Magnemite nicely! Sarantastic!

Meanwhile, Magnemite goes through the drive through with his homies and comes back with a big boombox like he's...well, it's right out of the eighties. And then it somehow uses its magnets to combine the milkshake it got back at the fast food joint with the stereo. That's right - it's a Sonicboom! (Feel free to boo now.) 20 damage! Of course, that doesn't really mean much on a text-based RPG. :P Still, it's fairly painful for Dratini.

"Sunny D, use Wrap... again!" Brandon said. This is getting kind of boring, he said to himself, Sunny D needs a new attack.

Sunny D's only damage-inflicting attack was Wrap, which bored Brandon to the break of tears.

[You realize your Pokemon can use any attacks they can learn, right? :XD: Counting things like TMs and Egg moves, too.]

Dratini keeps trying to make Magnemite into a pretty present, but Magnemite just holds still. A magical Delibird appears, though, and uses Present...on you. Owie. (Although yay for explode-y things?) The magical Delibird then disappears.

Wait...wtf?

Oh, and Magnemite uses Thundershock. Which isn't really shocking, or very effective.

OOC: Oh... well, that'll be useful.


"Sunny D, use Ice Beam!" Brandon commanded his Dratini. Sunny D released his opponent and twirled in the air. He opened his mouth and from it he shot a light-blue beam to the Magnemite.

Avoiding all the physics related stuff in shooting a freeze beam at Magnemite (and Magnemite's levatation)....

Yahoo! It did some decent damage! =D

Unfortunately for you, so did the Thundershock that the ball of steel soon shot at Sunny D.
