I have always thought special events were cool, and I thought that it would be nice if we had one for the summer! Possibly having to do with fire or something...

Example, just to capture the essence of special events:

"After many years, Tamarlane, great warlord, once master of the world, rose from the sands of pyro dunes. His bane had been his pride, his successors misplaced his grave... but that was of no matter. He was going to wage war on the world, and recapture it... with his body of flaming sand, he was unstoppable! His army of fire grew, ready to destroy the land.

Kindra felt a great disturbance in the energy levels in pyro dunes. It was as if a boulder had been dropped into a lake. Far off, many guardians felt the disturbance, and twisted in their sleep. Tamarlane's army was massive by the time Kindra tracked him down. She could not hope to beat him by herself.

Kindra is asking travelers to help her and defeat one member of Tamarlane's army. You will be rewarded with either charcoal or soft sand and $1000. It will also help increase your reputation with the Keeper of Flame."

A person could fight against a random fire pokemon, and would be rewarded... if they can have them both going on at the same time or have to pause their journey is up to you.... and it could be any kind of special event, not having to do with fire or have any elements of this story.

(Fun fact: A giant jade tombstone for the real Tamerlane had the inscription "If I am ever to be brought back to the earth, the greatest of all wars would engulf the planet", or something along those lines. Soviet scientists unearthed his body the DAY the Nazis invaded the USSR.)
