Title: The alter
Pokegeek1201 - January 4, 2008 11:39 PM (GMT)
As the spirit appeared before me, I didn't need to battle it to see it was powerful, I could feel the power radiating of her. But I new I had to battle. As I was thinking of which pokemon to use, my beloved Bulbasaur, or my mysterious Treecko, I felt nervous: would I win, or would I lose. Then I snapped myself out of it; if my pokemon had got me this far, they could get me anywhere."Okay, I have made my decision, I will fight you with: Bulbasaur!" I said as I got out Bulbasaur's pokeball and released my pokemon.
[sprite]bulbasaur[/sprite] :male: Where are we?
[sprite]treecko[/sprite] :male: I dunno.
[sprite]darkshuppet[/sprite] :female: I think it's a spirit alter.
[sprite]pikavee[/sprite] :female: Guys, shh! Bulbasaur's going to fight a spirit!
Shadow of Regice - January 6, 2008 03:33 AM (GMT)
Solana sent out turtwig, who looked strange because you can see through it. It just stared your bulbasaur down. "Your move first" said Solana.
Pokegeek1201 - January 7, 2008 01:12 AM (GMT)
"Wow, never met one of those before." I said, startled. " You know, since you're high on health, Bulbasaur, I guess we should do our secret technique, or is it to early? Bulbasaur, what do you think?" I said to Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur gave a little nod to the technique we made up. "Okay, double edge, follow it up with take down!" I called out with the force of a thousand Loudreds. Bulbasaur started the double edge attack. The walls started to crumble. The ground started to shake. Then pointed rocks exploded out of the ground!
[sprite]bulbasaur[/sprite] :male: Remember kids, only play with razor-sharp pointed rocks with adult supervision.

Both moves did quite a bit of damage, and turtwig was hurt a lot also, but it began to glow! Suddenly, it didn't look as tired anymore! It used synthesis!
Pokegeek1201 - April 27, 2008 08:59 PM (GMT)
Grrr... Just what I needed, a turtwig that can heal himself...! I then remember something from all those pointless years of pokemon school! Synthesizing only heals some of the users health. I still had a chance! "Bulbasaur, use sleep powder! Then use a seed bomb!" I cried out to bulbasaur.
[sprite]bulbasaur[/sprite] :male: Now remember kids, stay in school!
[sprite]treecko[/sprite] :male: :pikasleep:
[sprite]darkshuppet[/sprite] :female: *farts*
[sprite]pikavee[/sprite] :female: ...!...
drawring of a key - April 27, 2008 10:41 PM (GMT)
Rockabye Turtwig, in the treetop! Okay, so technically, it's on the floor, not the treetop. Either way, though, visions of sugarplums dance through its head! :pikasleep: Bulbasaur's second attack kind of bombs, though; sorry, not very effective!
Pokegeek1201 - April 28, 2008 08:23 PM (GMT)
"Wow.... I can't believe that worked.. Okiedokie, Bulbasaur, synthesis! Then energy ball! Please.." I said getting tired of the nearly useless attacks... Oh well, another day, another doughnut!
[sprite]bulbasaur[/sprite] :male: "Another doughnut"... How cheesy!

Occ.:My shiny ditto & carvanha are on a vacation... Kinda...
Dark - April 28, 2008 10:01 PM (GMT)
As Bulbasaur used synthesis, a white powder came through it's bulb, healing it. Unfortunately, while Bulbasaur was thinking of doughnuts, the shiny ball of energy missed.
Pokegeek1201 - April 29, 2008 12:03 AM (GMT)
"Well, that's just ducky. Oh well, use take down then doughnuts-- Gah! I mean-- aw, forget it. Just use the take down." I said to bulbasaur...
[sprite]bulbasaur[/sprite] :male: ....Loopdeloo...

Dark - April 29, 2008 12:06 AM (GMT)
(You spelled..."Altar" wrong...)
Bulbasaur ran toward the turtwig, head out and down. Before Turtwig can make a move, Bulbasaur kicked his butt hit the Turtwig with so much force that Turtwig couldn't make a single move...
Pokegeek1201 - April 29, 2008 11:32 AM (GMT)
This is too easy... Oh well! " Bulbasaur, poisonpowder then take down." I said. "bulb?" bulbasaur said questioning what was happening." Well, this is kinda weird, so I'll explain it. If we defeat the turtwig, and knock it out, we can get another pokemon. A spirit." I explained. Since bulbasaur seemed to understand now, he started the poisonpowder.
[sprite]bulbasaur[/sprite] :male: Wow, purple dust!

drawring of a key - April 29, 2008 11:49 AM (GMT)
Except that, at least as far as I know (Is there something you aren't telling me? ), Turtwig's still asleep. :pikasleep: And, as far as I know (Or at least, according to the voices in my head), a Pokemon cannot be asleep and poisoned at the same time. BURN. Or rather, POISON. Okay, I guess not! After that failed attempt at powdery doom, Bulbasaur uses Down Take on Turtwig. Which is exactly the same as Take Down, only backwards. Basically, it hits the other grassy starter Pokemon-thing with all its body weight, then charges. Yeah, I don't get it either, but it does good damage!
[Sorry if that made...even less sense than my posts normally do. It's currently 4:49 A.M. here. :XD:]
Pokegeek1201 - April 29, 2008 10:14 PM (GMT)
".... Right.... " I said as my bulbasaur was recovering from the nagging syndrom that DOAK (drawing of a key) had so rudely gave to bulbasaur . "Ok.... Bulbasaur, use skull bash! If that doesn't work, use a take down." I said. 'I'm in trouble here... None of my grass moves work, so I can only use take down and mabye skull bash...' I thought as my bulbasaur readied the skull bash.
[sprite]bulbasaur[/sprite] :male: DOAK talks alot...

And what's wrong with talking a lot?
Silly boy...there's plenty of other moves you can use!
http://serebii.net/pokedex-dp/001.shtmlWhile Bulbasaur is charging, wake-y wake-y, eggs and bake-y, Turtwig! Yup, that's right - Turtwig wakes up! Bulbasaur bashes Turtwig in a skullish manner, but it's once bitten, twice shy. Translation: Turtwig bit it, and Bulbasaur flinches on the Take Down.
Pokegeek1201 - April 30, 2008 10:22 PM (GMT)
"Great, he woke up. Well, let us try a double edge then a skull bash" I said to bulbasaur. Bulbasaur seemed to understand, so he started the combo....
[sprite]bulbasaur[/sprite] :male: How uneventful....

2. I know all of bulbasaur moves by memorie.
Dark - April 30, 2008 10:29 PM (GMT)
(answers to the questions: B.)
Anyways, the double-edged magage to hit Turtwig, but it seemed a little....Off. But still, a move is a move, Turtwig got hit, but you took some damage as well. Skull Bash got stalled because of the double edge's pain, so the Turtwig managed to dodge the hit. Turtwig unleashed a storm of sharp leaves, hitting Bulbasaur with a little bt of edge.
Pokegeek1201 - May 1, 2008 09:44 PM (GMT)
......Okay."bula!" my bulbasaur said in pain."Bulbasaur, are you ok?"I asked in worried tone. My bulbasaur then looked at me in a bold manner; he wanted to fight. "OK, bulbasur, we'll beat these guys. Go, show them how it's done, take down!!!" I exclaimed."Bulbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..." My bulbasaur screamed as he charged.
[sprite]bulbasaur[/sprite] :male: .....Wow.

Wow, geek.
x_x
Anyways, Bulbasaur ran to Turtwig...Only meeting a storm of razor sharp leaves. Meh, break-up of a dramatic moment. :XD: The bulbasaur seems like it's weak..."Hmm...Maybe, just maybe you have to train more," Said the spirit,"it would be better for you, and your pokemon..."
Pokegeek1201 - May 3, 2008 11:31 AM (GMT)
"Aw, you're just a spirit. What would you know about bulbasaur?" I debated." Well, bulb, use Q-1 A-7* then skull bash." My bulbasaur sat, waiting for turtwigs next attack.
Q-1 A-7: A wait then fire attack, developed during my pikavees battle. Works 77.8% of the time!
[sprite]bulbasaur[/sprite] :male: Oh, the good ol' Q-1 A-7.

Caffeinated Doom - May 4, 2008 11:57 PM (GMT)
Bulbasaur attempts to dodge Turtwig's next attack, but the grassy turtle...thing bites down and refuses to let go, using Mega Drain to absorb some of the limited amount of energy Bulbasaur had remaining. Bulbasaur manages to wriggle free and bashes Turtwig with its Skull, but Turtwig still seems to have more energy remaining than it does.
Pokegeek1201 - May 6, 2008 08:48 PM (GMT)
Darn, I think I'm losing. I thought. Bulbasaur seemed to be questioning the results of the battle too. " It's OK, bulbasaur. I'm sure we'll win." I said. But bulbasaur knew I was lying.... " OK. We'll try our best. That's al that matters. If we lose, we'll just get right back up and try again. Well, bulbasaur, use your best skull bash in your arsenal. That's all I ask." I said."We're gonna win!" "Bulbasaur!" My bulbasaur cheered.

Caffeinated Doom - May 11, 2008 04:09 PM (GMT)
Bulbasaur dons a skullcap and goes to a party, but it's kicked out of the bash when it's revealed that it doesn't have an invitation. Oh well. Turtwig is still hurt by it...don't ask me how. O_o The turtle Pokemon starts to play DDR with the hilt of a blade held in its mouth. Yeah, I don't get that either, but somehow, its attack goes up two stages. That would be a Swords Dance! It is really bad at DDR, though. :XD: Maybe if this was a DDR competition and not a battle, you could win more easily. But, you know...it's not. :XD:
Pokegeek1201 - May 22, 2008 10:21 PM (GMT)
(OMG! Yes! I can finally reply to me topic again! Sorry for the wait. Not like you care.)
".....Right." I say, completely weirded out."Well, How bout another skull cap--I mean bash." 'Drat, I don't know how much longer bulbasaur can survive. This is DEFINITELY not an ordinary battle.
[sprite]bulbasaur[/sprite] :male: That was short.

Caffeinated Doom - June 1, 2008 12:35 AM (GMT)
Bulbasaur starts charging toward Turtwig, credit card in hand...or rather, mouth, I guess. Meanwhile, Turtwig draws a gun and raises its defense with it...mkay. Regardless of how that works, it does cut down the damage from Bulbasaur's attack some, although Turtwig is starting to sweat...insofar as a spirit can sweat, anyway. O_o
Pokegeek1201 - June 3, 2008 07:36 PM (GMT)
(Thank GOSH you replied)
"I'm running out of strategies... And key's nonsense replies don't help. Well, since skull bash raises defense & does damage, we'll use that & sleep powder." I said, rather annoyed. "Zzzz" "Bulbasaur? Great.. He's asleep! Well please wake up.. Wake UP... WAKE UP!" I screamed. Just then, bulbasaur woke up and charged at the turtwig, starting his attack.

Sheep - June 8, 2008 01:56 AM (GMT)
Bulbasaur was a tad tired and tripped as she charged at Turtwig. The powder still hit, however, putting Turtwig to sleep.
"No! Not my precious Turtwig!" The Spirit Dragonair cried. "Come, now... Please wake up..."
Pokegeek1201 - June 10, 2008 10:49 PM (GMT)
(June 7th eh?.... What's the date now? If it's a bit late I'm sorry. Surprisingly, I've been busy with websites of my own. So sorry 4 any inconvenience.)
'Mwhahaha...This thing is going down!' I thought as I saw the turtwig snoozing. "Bulbasaur, up & at em! Skull bash!" I said. Rather childish, if I may say so myself. The same strategy, over & over... I should of started at that one ocean...

CodeRed - June 11, 2008 12:02 PM (GMT)
Bulbasaur stood it's ground as more and more wind went past it, but Solana had no chance to dodge or attack. Bulbasaur then charged dead on at Turtwig, doing very good damage. Also, sending Turtwig into a tree. Still, Turtwig slept :pikasleep:
Pokegeek1201 - June 20, 2008 12:58 AM (GMT)
(Yes...Yes!...YES!!! Finnaly, after 6 days of decoding and unscrambling my computer, I can finnaly post again!!! Let my reign of terror begin[Fear le bunny])
"Yes! Awsome job bulbasaur! He looks ready to be blasted into oblivian! So, lets try a last resort... Double edge! Go!!!!!" I exclaimed. Ah... The feared double edge.. Known for hurting the victim of the attack and the user. A last resort.... Just then, I fell from planet me all the way back to reality. A very long fall. And what might of done this, you're obviously thinking? Bulbasaur's double edge. The battle field of the alter was starting to shake, spires of rock shot up from the ground, clouds of dust now inhabited the once clear air. I couldn't hear anything but the sound of the rock spires, grinding their way up from the ground. It was a true display of ultimate power that i had never before seen in my 5 & a half pages of adventure. It was over. Or was it?

Hmmm.. Not quite :x Turtwig somehow summed the strength to sidestep the attack, and sent a very very weak Razor Leaf hurtling twords Bulbasaur. He was hit, but since it was a weak attack he hardly took any damage :D
Pokegeek1201 - June 26, 2008 08:09 PM (GMT)
"SIDE STEP?!?! ALL OF THAT FOR A--* phone rings* Hello? yes... uhu.... sure.... Great! Now who are you?.... Right. * RANDOM DYNAMITE*" i ... said... I think... K... "CUT!" Screamed the director... " Hey, what are you doing in here?" I said. "Uh..." * RANDOM DYNAMITE*
Mkay... Back to the real world. (Sorry, guys and gals.)
" .... Aw man.... A side step?!? That's outrageous! I remember, back in the old days, there were no side steps...." *continues ranting about side steps* "And THAT'S why I hate them. Well, all that said, I want to order one skull bash from bulbasaur. And a side of fries." I said. "... Bulbasaur."Said bulbasaur. (Translation: Thank you for shopping at bulba-mart. Thank you for your purchase.) Bulbasaur then chaged with all his might, and as he approached the spirit pokemon, some thing magical happened..

Caffeinated Doom - June 29, 2008 12:54 AM (GMT)
Turtwig watches Bulbasaur charge, unflinching, eyes narrowed. It uses Curse, sacrificing speed for attack and defense. "Very good," Solana says. "Now...Protect." Skull Bash misses.
Pokegeek1201 - June 30, 2008 07:51 PM (GMT)
"... Drat." I mumbled. "Well, I don't think I can make much more of a fool of myself, so, I would like a commercial break." I stated " What? No? Fine. Ok. I understand.... So ,bulbasaur, It's speed is down, so how about a nice, green solar beam; It is weak against grass types, but at least I don't have to wait a turn..." "Bulba!" bulbasaur nodded and started to charge the beam....
After a turn had passed,(turtwig is slowed) Bulbasaur released the light's power in a giant burst of energy... Blinded by light, I couldn't see anything around me.... Then, the light faded...

However, Bulbasaur went on a quick and random rampage storming in circles and this made Turtwig miss in it's own dig attack. Oh dearz :x
Pokegeek1201 - July 2, 2008 07:56 PM (GMT)
(How come everything is always misses and demise to me? What have I done to deserve that? Well? That's right, nothing.)
"Well, since everything was explained in that text floating over my head, there's nothing left to do but-- *RANDOM DYNAMITE!*
Pokegeek1201 was now covered in ashes, from head to toe, as was his bulbasaur. But, that didn't stop pokegeek1201 from angrily shouting commands for an attack to his bulbasaur. "SKULL BASH THAT TWIT!!!!" Bulbasaur started the skull bash, and charged at the turtwig.
I looked in his eyes, and I saw everything; Bulbasaurs emotions... Determination... Sadness.. Hate.... I saw his past... Everything he had been through... Since his childhood, being pushed around and mistreated... Everything... The day he had been found wounded in this very forest, and rescued bye professor Mirenda.... All the way to the day of today, his adventures with me... Victorious in every battle that he had started.. And ended... I knew bulbasaur had put effort into everything.. Just trying to please me, a seemingly kindhearted owner.... 110%.... For everything he did... And I knew, that with this move, this thrust, we were going to win.....
Devotion... The missing link between humans and pokemon... Until today...

Suppi - July 9, 2008 10:06 AM (GMT)
Bulbasaur smashed into the Turtwig, knocking it into a rock! The attack did great damage, yet Turtwig STILL managed to get up.
"Ok, Turtwig, lets try a powerful dig attack, again" The dragonair said in a calm voice. How could she be calm? The turtwig was wobbling all over the place, it seemed to have hit its head so head it was confused!
Turtwig dug underground... but the plan didnt exactly turn out the way Solana had hoped. There was a loud thud. And the rock that Turtwig had be forced into was lifted of the ground a bit. Everything was quiet. Until Turtwig dug back it, with a big red lump of its head! It must of been so confused that it tried to come up under the rock! Now was your time to attack.
Pokegeek1201 - July 10, 2008 12:24 AM (GMT)
(Thank you for replying... My anger is now nonexistent...)
"Okay. We've been through a lot in this battle, bulbasaur, and you're doing great. I've been asking so much of you, and your still battling full strength... Thanks bulbasaur... Now here come the finishing moves." I said to bulbasaur, who, even in the pain that he was in, smiled.. Somehow."Okay! Bulbasaur, use sunny day! Then Solarbeam!!!" I asked bulbasaur. "bulba! bulbasaur!" Cheered bulbasaur. Suddenly, the sun intensified. Light then filled the once dark dungeon-like alter. After that sudden change in climate, bulbasaur began charging up power. But, in the intense sun, Bulbasaur did not have to wait to preform this deadly move. Even though this move was not that effective, I knew it would finnish the spirit off.(No side-steps included)

Turtwig is hit very hard by the attack, and it falls to the ground and fades away. "Impressive! Thank you for the battle! I would like to see more of your skill, so I shall travel with you"
You are done with the altar!
Bulbasaur gained a level and .5 happyness!
