Jack stepped into the Arboretum, the Willow Way Altar. "I'm finally here..." Jack said quietly. He looked around. It seemed to be abandoned. It was certainly very quiet...

A pokeball in the middle of the room opens up, revealing the most powerful Nature being on Earth. Solana.

"Greetings, trainer." She said, smiling. "I can see great potential in you. I can see that yu are becoming one with nature. Show me this. Show me your true nature power. Pick your best grass type pokemon for a battle, and good luck."

"My best Grass type? Ok." Jack unclipped a Pokéball and tossed into the air. A small grass type emerged in a white light -- Oddish "Oddish, Odd!" He said rather sqeuakishly.

"Very nice. Your Oddish looks happy and healthy." Solana smiled and closed her eyes. "I can tell you have been raising it well. Oddish are such nice Pokémon..." She opened her eyes, still smiling. "To battle your Oddish, I shall use a Shroomish."

"So be it. I will do my best to win this battle." Jack said, nodding. "Oddish. Start with a Toxic and follow up with Rzaor Leaf!"

(OOC: Can you please use one move at a time until I check the rulebook? I miss the old one, it worked better)

Toxic hits well, badly poisoning Shroomish. The Razor Leaf that follows however, is not as good. Due to Shroomish's typing, it is only half effective, and the move wasn't at it's strongest anyways. Shroomish takes weak damage, but still wants to recover from it. Shroomish uses Giga Drain taking a bit of health off you, but allowing the Shroomish to recover from the attack. The poision takes some health off, however.

"Oddish, Sludge Bomb" Jack said calmly. This was probably the most important battle he will have to do in Willow Way, and he was taking it rather well. Oddish meanwhile, was forming a rather nasty purple blob in the middle of his leaves. Oddish launched the blob at Shroomish with it's front leaf. The Sludge Bomb flies through the air...

(OOC: You are free to use 2 moves at once now. Sorry bout that.)

Sludge Bomb is super effective, and takes a moderate amount of health from Shroomish, who retailiates with a strong headbutt, which hit well, taking some health off.

"Oddish, Keep using Sludge Bomb!" Jack commanded. Oddish nodded and formed another purple blob. At the Sludge's peak of power, Oddish flung the Sludge Bomb through the air, and began forming another Sludge Bomb...

Shroomish swiftly dodged the first Sludge Bomb, but was hit directly by the second. The third glanced his side, and the fourth was dodged completely. Oddish became a bit tired and paused for a moment. Shroomish saw this opportunity and Headbutted Oddish repeatedly.

*BAM*
*BASH*
*POW*

He got in three hits.

"Oddish, hang in there. Use another Sludge Bomb, then start charging up a Solarbeam!" Oddish nodded, or did something to show understanding since Oddish has no neck... Or at least we think it doesn't... Oddish flung another blob of purple sludge at Shroomish. Oddish's leaves turned white, and he began to take in Sunlight, while the Sludge Bomb soared through the air.

Shroomish thought fast and used a Seed Bomb. When the two bombs collided in midair, the explosion countered both of them. Then Shroomish used Spore, putting Oddish to sleep to stop it from using Solarbeam.

"Geh... This is bad... Oddish, come on. Wake up before you get hurt anymore and use Solarbeam! I know you can win this!" Jack said, in an desperate attempt to get Oddish awake. He just knew Oddish had the power to win.

Oddish sadly didn't hear your commands. Shroomish hit him repeatedly with powerful Headbuts, until he finally woke up, very weak. However, Shroomish looked even more weak!

"Oddish, finish this! Sludge Bomb combined with Solarbeam!" Jack yelled, Oddish nodded and it's leaves began to turn white, while he formed a purple blob on it's front leaf. Oddish collected enough sunlight, and let rip the Solarbeam, while flinging the Sludge Bomb thrugh the air...

"SHROOMISH! STUN SPORE -- NOW!" The dragonair commanded. The mushroom pokemon quickly released a powder that immediatly made Oddish paralyzed. The attack was unusually fast.

"As you can see, I tend to play alot this effects..." Solana said calmy. "Now, Shroomish, another headbutt, please?" Shroomish leaped forward into the helpless oddish.

"This is getting a tad annoying now..." Jack muttered. "Oddish, finish this... Solarbeam, combined with Sludge Bomb, again." Jack was really aggrivated now.

((Isn't Shroomish supposed to be badly poisioned by Toxic. Charizard38 said that my previous Toxic hit, yet I have not seen any posts after that involving Shroomish being hurt by poison))

Oddish was taking some pretty bad hit, and by the time Shroomish had finished, Oddish was really begging that it would stop. Oddish looks able to fight, but only just.

The Sludge Bomb hits quite well, reducing Shroomish to it's last bit of health as well. But the Solarbeam didn't charge in time (altars have roofs, y'see), and Shroomish flung another headbutt at you. Your oddish is knocked out, but the poison from earlier knocked Shroomish out almost simultaneous with the attack. It's a double knockout!!

"Oo-er" says Solana "I'm not sure what happens here. I'll have to ask Nanami what happens at this point. Please, have some herbal tea while you wait. The dispenser is over there. I will have to telepathically communicate with Nanami"
"I thought only the dragonairs in Etheral Realm could do that?" You say
"Meh. He taught us. I'll be a few minutes."

Indeed, a few minutes passed, and Solana returned with 2 revival herbs. "Nanami says we'll revive them both, and let the battle continue from there. Good luck!"

So, your next move?

"Ok. Oddish, let's go with a Toxic, then Sludge Bomb." Oddish sprung back up after eating the Revival Herb. He heard the command and shot out a purple gooey toxic at Shroomish, in an attempt to re-poison it. Then, he started to form another purple gooey substance, this time a Sludge Bomb.

(OOC To White Moondust: I think Nanami is a she. Ask Raven.)

Shroomish barely dodged the Toxic, remembering the pain it was in last time it was poisoned. Sludge Bomb hit right on though, doing some great damage. Shroomish shot a Leech Seed at Oddish to replenish his health.

"Oddish, Use the same combo again, let's go!" Jack commanded. Oddish shot out a purple gooey toxic at Shroomish, in an another attempt to re-poison it. Then, he started to form yet another purple gooey Sludge Bomb/

The Sludge Bomb hit the Shroomish, causing it a lot of pain. It squealed as it sunk to the ground. It rose again, trying to regain it's composure. It used a headbutt attack that caused your Pokemon to flinch. Since your Pokemon can't move, it uses another attack. It uses a spore attack, making your Pokemon fall asleep. Tough luck.

((Did Toxic hit or not. You didn't say?))

"... Oh joy..." Jack said, sarcastically. "I guess I'll just have to hope Oddish wakes up quickly... Oddish, Razor Leaf!" Oddish twitched. Jack's face lit up. "Yes, Come on, Wake up..."

(OOC: We'll just assume it did hit. :XD: )

Oddish remained asleep, however, and Shroomish headbutted it again. It seemed Oddish wouldn't be asleep very long, though.

"Oddish, Sludge Bomb combined with Razor Leaf! If you wake up..." Jack said, adding the last part under his breath. Jack knew this was no time to be sleeping, but then again, he doubted Oddish knew...

Shroomish flinches in pain as the Toxic drains some of it's health. Oddish continues to snooze, giving Shroomish the chance to Headbutt it again. Oddish reeled backwards and woke up.

"Oddish, Sludge Bomb with Razor Leaf!" Jack said quickly. Oddish managed to understand the command and started to charge up a Sludge Bomb. At it's power peak, Oddish flung it at Shroomish, releasing a flurry of razor sharp leaves at the same time. The Razor Leaf hit the sludge bomb and combined to make a Razor Sludge Leaf - razor sharp leaves covered in sludge.

(OOC: That's... Special! :XD: )

Shroomish was hit hard, taking good damage and then taking even more from Toxic. He was about ready to give up when he gained back health from Leech Seed and Headbutted Oddish once again.

"Oddish, Sludge Bomb! Try and finish this battle now!" Jack commanded. Oddish heard and charged up yet another purple blob within his leaves. When the Sludge was ready, Oddish pushed it to his front leaf, and let it rip. The Sludge Bomb soared through the air...

And hit Shroomish iwth an attack that could only mean that you and Oddish would be friends forever. Even Solana clapped (somehow) at the power of the attack, that made Shroomish give up the ghost.

Solana: You have proved you worth. You are clearly one with nature. A trainer as powerful as yourself, a trainer who is clearly proficient at controlling the grass type, is deserving of my accompanyment. I will travel with you, and help you through your journey. Congratulations.
