jAck, play nice. (Consider this a verbal warning.)
Also, Joan's Pokemon can talk because she's the almighty queen of Dragonairs and mongooses and she wants them to be able to talk. Any other questions?

Anyone's Pokemon can talk in their journies. It all depends on your role playing style. Check out Tabby & Joan's journies. I choose for my Pokemon not to talk. Check my journey for that kind of style. (:

Or they can have their Pokemon talk, just not in a way that the trainers can understand. See my journey for an example of that style. :XD:

I just now noticed this post. In over three years, this is the first time I can remember being asked this.
It's really just a matter of preference. I find it more fun and interesting to talk to my Pokemon.
Some people also choose to give their Pokemon other abilities, like telepathy or clairvoyance. This is also fine as long as it is not used to give a Pokemon some advantage it wouldn't normally have in battle.

ya It's not that she gets that special power or anything It's all if you want it or not
for me It's a little more fun to make them not talk
but look at bugheart he chose a chatot so he can make it talk and translate plus it makes a good way to put in dialogue so ya Its really choice (don't you hate when people say the same thing everyone else just said lol)
