Katai had entered the Willow Way path not too long ago and was currently gazing up at all the large willow trees. After a few minutes of walking she just stood there, looking up. Suddenly, she pulled out her Pokeball and tossed it up in the air.

"Come on out, Kou!" And out came a small Aron. The Aron blinked a couple of times. Then he looked up at his trainer and tilted his head.

"Hey little buddy. My name's Katai. I thought that it my be cooler for us to journey together. Um...what do you say?" The Aron just kept on staring at his trainer. After a few second of intense staring he started running at high speed towards wherever.

"Hey, just where do you think you're going?!" And Katai bolted off towards her Pokemon. "If I catch ya I'm gonna skin ya alive!!!"

And so begins a wonderful friendship of a short tempered trainer and her mischievous Pokemon.

After w while of running, Kou stopped in front of a giant Oak tree stationed just off the path. It's giant branches held up large clusters of brownish-gold leaves. In the forks of the brances sat nest after nest of pokemon, and they all didn't seem to notice you.

However, one small Paras decided to come see what Kou was. It looked young, so it never has seen an Aron before. Paras used it's pointy claw to poke Kou a few times, before jumping back a few paces and slowly approaching to poke him again.

((OOC: sorry if I got Kou's gender wrong, I took a stab in the dark o.o))

Kou just let the Paras poke him, not really minding. Only a few seconds had passed when his trainer finally arrived, completely out of breath.

"I...didn't...know...Aron...could...run...so...fast." She said in between pants. She looked up and noticed the semi-startled Paras who was in mid poke. "Ne, a Paras...?" She then looked at her Aron that was just standing there. She blinked a couple of times. Then she snapped.

"WHY ARE YOU LETTING THAT PARAS PICK ON YOU LIKE THAT?!!! ATTACK IT WITH TACKLE, DARNIT!!!"

Katai's outburst startled both Pokemon. Paras was about to run for it, when it suddenly got tackled by the Aron. Poor thing.

Paras rolled backwards from the tackle and landed in a patch of moss at the base of the tree. It blinked, wide eyed and startled. After a moment, it realized what Kou had done, and used a scratch attack on him, however it did little damage to Kou's hard shell.

"What, do you think a puny scratch can harm my armored Aron? Don't make me laugh, Paras!" Katai exclaimed proudly. She was definitely having fun. Aron, on the other hand seemed to pity the little Paras.

"Okay Kou, attack with another Tackle!"

Kou debated if he should listen to his trainer and attack or ignore her...

In the end he decided to ignore her and see how the Paras was doing.

The Paras seemed extremely grateful that Kou didn't hurt it again. It looked like this was it's first battle... It wasn't experienced at all. It was shivering as your Pokemon walked up to it. Aron tried to talk gently to it, but it so was afraid... Paras wasn't using this chance to attack.

Katai was seriously angry at her Aron. Not only was he completely ignoring her, but he was making friends with the enemy! She stared angrily at her Pokemon, who was actually having a conversation with the Paras.

After a few seconds of silent fuming her Aron came back and started tugging at her shoelace. She looked down at her Pokemon, but quickly turned around.

"What do you want?" She asked her Pokemon angrily. The Aron took a few steps back and tackled its trainer. Katai lost her balance and fell on the floor. When she fell a Pokeball also fell out of her pocket. The Aron grabbed the Pokeball and sat in front of his trainer. Katai rubbed her sore bottom and looked at her Pokemon.

"Eh? What is it? Do you want to go into your Pokeball for bad behavior?"

The Aron shook his head and turned his head to the Paras.

"Um...you want me to catch Paras?" She asked unsure. Kou barked(?) and nodded his head happily. She sighed, she really would have preferred to battle the Pokemon instead of catching it like this...

She took the Pokeball out of her Pokemon's mouth and walked up to the scared Paras, Aron following close behind. She crouched near the Paras and held the Pokeball in front of it.

"So, do you want to join me or not? I can't guarantee ya that I'll be nice to you, but I'll make you strong and we'll battle lots of people together. So...what do you say?"

The Paras looked at the Pokeball nervously...

It looked at you, then the Pokeball, and then Aron. It pointed at the Pokeball and shook it's head as if to say no. It then ran up to you and hugged your leg. It looked like it was trying to say that it would join you, but only on two conditions. You would have to let it say out of it's Pokeball most of the time and it wanted to battle you for a little bit of experience first. You ran back to the other side of the trail and said something to your Aron, showing that he could attack first.

Katai tilted her head and actually seemed to be smiling.

"So, Paras wants to battle? Then battle we shall. Kou!" Her Pokemon hopped in front of her and seemed to be ready to battle.

"Okay, let's start this from the top. Kou, attack with Tackle!"

Aron nodded and lunged itself onto paras, doing some okay damage. Paras was thrown back, but it rocked on its back claws and stood itself back up. It then rushed forward and slashed its claw across Aron with a Scratch attack. Luckily it didn't do very much damage.

"Hehe, this is gonna be easy! Now Kou, attack with Headbutt!"

Kou started running to attack. He slowed down, sped up, then slowed down again. Then he completely stopped running and started snickering. Headbutt...what a weird name.

"Kou, stop laughing and ATTACK ALREADY!!!"

This startled the Pokemon and he continued on with his oddly named attack.

Headbutt was a critical hit and Paras was knocked a few feet back. It shivered and sat there shivering and covering its eyes in fear. It seemed as though it had had enough battling.

Katai looked at the shivering Pokemon and...was she smiling? Poor Paras must really be scared and was trying really hard... She could relate with that feeling.

"Okay then, I can see that you've had enough." She took out a Pokeball and tossed it at the Paras.

"P-p-p-p-Paras?" It stopped shivering and looked at the Pokéball. It quickly poked the ball so it could be caught and safe. You've captured Paras! Congratulations! Would you like to nickname it?

Katai picked the Pokeball up and immediately released Paras.

"I think I'm going to call you...Kei. Do you like that name?" Katai asked the Paras. Paras seemed to like the name and jumped on its new trainer. Katai quickly caught the Pokemon and held it close. She smiled, just a little.

"Okay, Kou, Kei, we're moving on!"

And so she continued on her journey through the willows. Who knows who she'll meet next.

You walk through the beautiful willows with your companions. Your Paras keeps stopping to smell the flowers, but you aren't annoyed. Life is too short to be strict. You continue down the path when you see a little girl who's sitting on a rather large rock sobbing uncontrollably. You look at her and then down the path. Will you stop and help this girl, or will you continue. Your Paras runs over to the girl and rubs against her leg lovingly. A smile comes to her face, but then she looks down the road and starts to cry again.

Katai looked a little wearily at the sobbing girl. Whatever her problem was, she didn't want to get involved. She was going to continue on the path when she felt something tugging at her sneakers. She looked down and saw her Paras looking at her with those large eyes of its.

"What? I don't know her, why should I help her?"

Then Aron started nudging at her other leg as well. She gave a defeated sigh and walked towards the girl on the rock.

"Hey, what's the problem?"

The little girl looked up at you and wiped away a tear or two so she could see you better. "My Pokémon ran away..." She then bursted into tears again.

"Okay, tell me about this Pokémon. Is it small?" She shook her head as if to say no. "Is it cute and cuddly?" She shook her head again. "Is it a Normal or Grass or Electric type?" She shook her head again. "Grah! You have to tell me then! What Pokémon is it?!"

"It's a Tyranitar!" You stepped back.

"A WHAT?!" You said in disbelief.

"A Tyranitar! My favorite Pokémon!" She responded.

"Let me get this right," you began, "You, a little girl, no older than ten," You paused and she nodded, "lost a TYRANITAR in WIiow Way?!"

"Yes..." Then she started to cry again. "It wouldn't hurt a fly! I just need someone to find it for me! Will you please help?"

Katai heavily debated wheter to help the little girl or not. But then again, she didn't get much time to decide. Paras and Aron both gave a cry of agreement and nodded that they would help.

Well, it seems kinda pointless to say no now.

"Okay, fine. Kou and Kei seem to want to help you. Why not. So...do you think I could get some info on your Tyranitar? Maybe...what it looks like, if it has a name... If it's strong... And could I maybe get your name as well? I don't feel like helping a nameless stranger."

She smiled and stopped crying. "My name's Kaitlin! Tyranitar's really strong, but he'd never hurt anyone who didn't hurt him. He's really big, and he's Shiny! I forgot that part. Hey, how bout I come with you and help! Thanks again for helping me out!"

Katai's eyes widened. She didn't think that Kaitlin would follow her. But...she couldn't just suddenly decline now, could she? Kou and Kei seemed quite happy that there would be someone else to travel with them.

So the group traveled through the Willows. Kei was enjoying herself quite some. She wandered off the path every now and then, but always came back after a while. When Kei wandered off, Kou would always follow.

Katai was starting to grow bored. When would the next interesting thing happen anyway?

You heard a giant roar from nearby that sent many Pidgey flying from the trees scared. You jumped a bit, but Kaitlin acted like it was an everyday thing.

"I know that roar!" Kaitlin said. "That's Tyranitar! Let's go!" She ran to the sound and you reluctantly followed. Finally you saw a rampaging Tyranitar and a Trainer trying to capture it!

"HEY! LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Kaitlin ran up to the trainer. "He's mine! We just got separated!"

"Hey, I've already got his health down to at least one third. Go away. He's mine now." The trainer said.

"No, really! He's mine! Look, here's his ball!" She showed the trainer the Pokéball marked 'Tyranitar' and he shrugged and left with his Pokémon.

"Now," Kaitlin began, "Let's go, Tyranitar!" Tyranitar wouldn't even look at her. He just went on rampaging. The battle must have scared him! "Oh no!" She turned to you. "You've got to help me! Weaken Tyranitar so I can reason with it!"

Katai's face lightened up.

"Okay, now that's what I'm talking about. Okay, this time I'm using someone else." She pulled a Pokeball out of her pocket and threw it in the air, "Let's show 'em what we're made of, Ren!!!"

A young Riolu popped out of the the Pokeball. Although it was small it was ready to battle. The little tough guy.

"Okay Ren, attack with Force Palm!!!"

Ren stood in a fighting pose, one hand held stretched out in front of him. He started charging towards the Tyranitar.

Wonder how this will end up.

Ren rushed up and slapped Tyranitar in the face. While Riolu didn't look like much, it sent Tyranitar falling over onto the ground with its power. Tyranitar, being part Rock AND Dark, took four times the usual damage from this move and was greatly damaged. He got back up and used a Hyper Beam! Luckilly, it was in such a rage that it completely missed and just hit a giant rock, blasting it into rubble.

Katai, Kou and Kei all blinked a couple of times, staring at the damage the Tyranitar did. Ren didn't seem fazed at all, though. Katai stopped staring at the rubble and looked at her Pokemon who was ready for its next command.

"Okay, so, let's try another Force Palm! And make sure you don't get hit by Tyranitar...I don't think you could survive a hit..."

Riolu nodded and repeated exactly what it did the last time.

Ren ran and jumped, barely dodging another Hyper Beam. The Force Palm then hit and did just as much damage as the first time. Tyranitar stumbled and was nearly defeated, but managed to stick around for one more turn. He tried another Hyper Beam, but had lost so much energy he just couldn't use another one yet.

Katai was getting all fired up. It was so cool seeing such a little thing doing such heavy damage to something that [I[big[/I]!

But then again, type weakness could also be a cause of that heavy damage...but who's checking? Not Katai.

"Okay Ren, we're almost there. Let's give this attack out all. Now, attack with Focus Punch!!!"

Riolu furrowed his brows a bit. This would be a hard attack to execute. He concentrated most of his power into his right paw. After it started glowing he started running towards the Tyranitar. Hopefully for the last time.

"And don't forget to be careful!" Katai quickly added before Riolu attacked.

Kaitlin watched anxiously as Ren lunged at Tyranitar with a glowing fist. Finally, jumping up in the air and practically flying at Tyranitar, Ren punched him right in the chest, sending him flying back and crashing against a tree, fainted.

(OOC: Let's see how much I think you should earn...

Tyranitar must've been about level 55.
Ren is at level 5.
Tyranitar was at 1 / 3 power.
55 / 3 is roughly 18.5 or so. Let's round to 19.
19 - 5 = 14.
Of course I can't give Ren a whole 14 levels for one battle, but you'll get other stuff, too!

Ren gained 5 levels.)

"Thank you so much for helping me!" Kaitlin said as she returned Tyraintar. "You can have a long rest, Tyranitar." She turned back to you. "Here, you deserve a reward!" She said as she looked through her bag. "Ah, here are some things." She handed you three Pokéballs, 500 G, and a Revive. "Those should help you out along your way! Thanks again!" She said as she walked off.

As you continued, you found a little Chikorita!

"Hey, cool, a Chikorita!" Katai exclaimed. "Okay, since Ren already got some training in, let's train..." She looked down at her Aron and Paras. Kou was ready to battle, but Kei didn't seem to sure.

"Okay, let's let Kei battle!"

Kei's eyes widened. She didn't want to battle just yet! Kou seemed a little unhappy that his trainer didn't choose him.

"Next time, Kou. Okay Kei, get ready!"

Kei unwillingly stood in front of Katai and was waiting for its first command.

"Okay, let's start of with Stun Spore!"

The mushrooms on Kei's back started wiggling a bit and yellow spores emitted from them, heading towards Chikorita.

Kei's Stun Spore worked perfectly, paralyzing Chikorita on the spot. As she went to attack, so stopped, being unable to move.

"Okay, you're doing good Kei! Now, continue with Leech Life!"

Kei was starting to feel a little more confident now. The mushrooms on her back started glowing and she started executing the attack...

Leech Life was super effective, and Kei took a lot of health from Chikorita. Chikorita tried to attack, but paralysis slowed her down and Kei was able to dodge easilly.

"Okay Kei, you're doing an excellent job. Keep it up!"

Kei was really happy that her first official battle was going so good.

"Now, do a Double Team and go in close to continue with Slash!!!"

Suddenly there were three Paras' and the all started going in the direction of the Chikorita...

Sorta starting to feel for it now...

They surrounded her and she couldn't tell which from which and didn't attack. Suddenly they all slashed at her, doing a lot of damage. She was now almost completely out of health, ready to be defeated or captured.

"Now Kei, finish it off with another Slash!!!"

That's when Kei froze. It looked at the injured Chikorita and was reluctant to attack it.

"Hey, didn't ya hear? I said finish it off with Slash!"

Kei turned around and looked at her trainer, tears welling up in its eyes.

"Oh...oh no. No way. You're supposed to gain battle experience. You do NOT feel sorry for your opponent! No way!"

Kei kept staring.

"... Ah, fine!" Katai took a Pokeball out of her pocket and tossed it at the Chikorita, "But the very next Pokemon we see, we're battling until we win! You my friend need some serious work."

Chikorita was caught! Would you like to nickname her?

As you continued down the path, you spotted a bush that was twitching. You examined it and a Caterpie popped out!

Chikorita shall be named Kusa.

"Now Kei, let's take this Caterpie down! No wimpin' out this time!"

Kei flinched.

"Okay, use Growth and then go in close for Slash!"

Kei grew to almost twice her original size, and though that still wasn't very big, it did boost her confidence. "Paaaraaaaas!" She said happilly.

Caterpie suddenly looked afraid as Kei ran forward and then Slashed at him. He flew back, having taken critical damage. As he got up he used a String Shot, slowing Kei down!

"Paras, you're doing good! Now, use Bullet Seed and then Dig!!!"

Katai was totally into the battle...even though the opponent was a Caterpie. Kou was a little bored from lack of doing anything. Katai noticed and tried to cheer her Pokemon up.

"Don't worry Kou, next Pokemon we see it all yours!"

That still doesn't take his boredom away.

Bullet Seed hit repeatedly!

5 times in a row! Amazing! As Caterpie tried to regain his footing (though he has no 'feet') Kei dug underground! Caterpie looked around, frightened and weak, trying to find where Kei would come up!

"Paaaaaaraaaaaaaaaas!" Kei came flying out of the dirt just below Caterpie, hitting him and doing a lot of damage.
