How do you make a table like the ones in the Neodex? [three extra words]

That table is most likely copy and pasted from some where else (ex:/ different website or MS Word).
If you want you can make a table in Microsoft Word and then copy it onto the board.

You are welcome to try that, but 99.9% chance it won't work. The site in which I got the code from died a few months ago, about the time when Dden reopened, although if I find another code or the same one, i'll report back.

The Table code is HTML. Simple as that. I wont give the "code" for joan's away because it is in fact hers. She made it from scratch and thus copyrighted to her.
A simple table code would be -

Makes -

and you can get more complicated...

However on DD I believe only Admins and Joan can post Dohtml tags and ONLY in certian forms.

Anyone can use the doHTML tags in forums where it's enabled, which I believe is most of them.

O.o Well Joan.. that is just plain not smart o_O there are some seriously malicious codes out there that can pretty much delete an entire board. Also a poorly written code can screw up the tables on your site almost beyond repair o_O. I frankly dont think that just "anyone" should be able to use the Dohtml tags. You should limit it to people you know wont try to use it for malicious nefarious deeds.
Also I repudiate your decision and insist on you limiting it in some way or another.
