I walked out of the lab of Proffesor Melinda with a new Piplup in my new pokeball. However I had another pokemon which my father had left me in another pokeball. Mysterious, he only said to use it after I've made my Piplup evolve. As I walked down a path known as Willow Way, and suddenly a sound came from a bush. Then the same sound, sounded again but behind. "This is some trick.." I said. Then getting the game. When the mysterious thing was behind, I turned around and jumped the other way at the same time, opening the bush revealing a...

A little Budew, it was sitting there silently untill you disturbed it. It looked at you and attacked. It was obviously not happy that you disturbed it, you decided it was time you had your first battle. You decided to send out....

...My Piplup. I sent out my piplup which exictedly came out of pokeball. "Piplup! Use bubble!" Piplup unleashed a burst of bubbles from it mouth that aimed straight towards the Budew...

The attack did decent damage to the seed pokemon. "Bew!" It cried, as it shot out an absorb attack to your Piplup. The attack hit, and did good damage, thanks to the type advantage. Budew recovered some of the damage it has previously lost.

"Piplup!" I shouted. "Come back!" I continued, returning my Piplup to it's pokeball. "Okay, Charmander, Let's go!" I shouted as my charmander, Blaze came out. "Blaze! Use ember!"

Blaze looked back and nodded, Blaze soon turned it's gaze towards the Budew and used Ember. Blaze opened it's mouth to reveal a flame, this flame blew across the grass and onto the Budew. "Dewww!" The Pokémon yelled. Not only did the attack do decent damage but it burned the Pokémon as well. Budew looked at Blaze, it looked Blaze in an awkward and then used Razer Leaf. The leafs flew into Blaze and did a fair amount of damage.

Blaze flinched but the leaves didn't do much damage. "Blaze, use ember again!" I cried and blaze let out a burst of flame.

Budew suffered a great deal of damage, but it shook off the ash from the attack and stared down Blaze. It then rushed twords it, and used a Tackle attack! Blaze was damaged moderately.

Blaze let out a soft cry when it was hit. Blaze was knocked to the ground. "Blaze! Use ember again!" Blaze shook it's head and unleashed a torrent of flames...

The flames spread out across the grass and onto the Budew, the heat was so unbelievable. Budew cried in pain, the attack was greatly affecting it, but not enough for it to give up yet. "Dew!" The Pokémon cried, using Sleep Powder. The spore floated down onto Blaze making him fall asleep. Budew saw this as an opportunity to use another Attack. The Budew lowered it's head and used Tackle on Blaze, waking him up.

"Er.. This Budew just won't give up! Blaze use ember followed up by scratch!" I shouted as Charmander suddenly charged at Budew, Using yet another ember attack on the persistent Budew. Charmander let out another burst of flames and jumped into the flames, Seeking to scratch the prehaps Burning Budew to finally put it down.

Flame and Claw managed to finally make the tiny pokemon faint. Blaze grew 1 level and gained .5 Happniess!

However, Blaze's victory moment didn't last long, as a Trainer stepped onto the path.
"Hey!" he said, stumbling over a branch from the bushes at the side. "Let's battle! Come on out, Totodile!"

Before you could reply, the boy sent out a small, blue pokemon. It has a large snout (for it's body) and teeth protruded from them. The Totodile snapped open and shut it's mouth to show it's strength.

"Totodile eh?" I said. "Blaze return!" I said, as a red beam of light came out of the pokeball and eveloped the charmander. "Come on out Piplup!" as I threw the pokeball on the ground that let out the Piplup. The ball bouced back to my hand and I cried, "Piplup! Use pound!!"

The active little Totodile was jumping about everywhere it could. Piplup tried Pound, but horribly missed. Totodile kept getting closer and closer, till it was hit by a good Bite attack. Totodile backed off and started pointing, and laughing at the Piplup..

"Er..." I grumbled. "Piplip, Use bubble and then use pound to finish it up!" I ordered as Piplup drew breath and let out a blast of blue bubbles...

Totodile let the blue bubbles hit, and being a water type they just seemed to bounce off. Before Piplup could launch the Pound attack, Totodile used a Scary Face attack, making Piplup flinched a little, and was unable to attack. Totodile took it's chance, and used a Scratch attack :o It did a decent amount of damage.

"No!" Piplup was scratched quite badly in the chest. "Piplup!" I shouted and I ran to it but it seemed to want to still fight. "Okay then, Piplup use bubble to distract the totodile and then use lots of pounds when the Totodile dodges!" I whispered, only audible to the Determined Piplup. It nodded it's small head and ran towards the Totodile, releasing a burst of bubbles from it's mouth....

Piplup shot a bunch of bubbles at the Croc pokmon, Totodile tried to dodge, but ended up running into the bubbles! The attack did a little bit of damage. Totodile got up, and ran towards Piplup, it opened its jaw and jumped forward. Bite attack!

"Piplup come back!" I said as a ray of red light shot out. "Come out Flip!" I continued and my energetic Buizel came out. "Flip, Use Quick Attack!" I ordered as the pokemon ran quickly, a flash of light following.

Totodile snapped nothing but air as the Piplup was sucked back inside the safety of it's pokeball. It looked confused at the dissapearence, but grinned as the Buizel was released. It snapped it's jaws lightly, making a clicking sound, and rushed forward for another bite.

Flip, however, was faster, and used Quick Attack to both dodge the Bite and to hit Totodile square in the side.

"Good!" I cheered. Flip energetically smiled and moved around. "Flip! Use water gun and then quick attack again!" I ordered and the Buizel shot out a blast of pure water that streaked towards the croc like pokemon and Buizel, in a flash was following closey beside the torrent of water, ready to strike.

The Totodile was hit by the attack, but it didn't cause much damage. It starts using a Double Edge, which causes an extreme ammount of damage when it hits your Buizel!! Your Pokemon doubles over from the attack, but gets back up quickly, trying to recover so that it can have revenge on the Totodile. That attack took a lot out of the Totodile and it looks a little weaker, just from using that attack!

"Flip! Use quick attack before it gets weaker!" I ordered, And the angry little Buizel charged at the Tododile with anger.

Your Buziel growled at the Totodile as it ran quickly towards the Totodile and attack it. Quick attack worked perfect! It causes upper-average ammount of damage because the Totodile had been laughing and was caught off guard. Now the Totodile was also steaming, mad about being hit by what it thought was no threat. The Totodile ran at your Buziel, attacking it for double damage!! It was counter!! What will you have Buziel do now?
