Title: Toddy's Choice - Willow Way
Description: Because nature brings out the best of us
~*CosmicDragon*~ - July 24, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
[Ooc: You'll understand this as soon as I create my profile, I just wanted to post this so it doesn't seem like I forgot about this place. I try to make a different profile for different sites.]
Todd sighed, his head hurt with all of the questions. His head was pounding, and he just wanted to take a nap. He lie down on the grass, observing his surroundings. After looking about, he closed his eyes. He wished it was tomorrow. For today was when he'd make his desicion. Realizing he couldn't sleep with all of the pressure building, he sat up and rubbed his eyes. Gazing at the beautful scenery, he spoke. "So this is the beautiful Willow Way. Wow, I'm glad I'm here to make my decision, and not some place else. At least the peacefulness will calm me down". Todd took his pack off of his back, and opened it. He searched through it for his Pokeball. Realizing he had more than one, he felt which one was the heaviest. Upon findiing it, he took it out and threw it. "Go, Zigfried! Buddy, I need you to stay here and sense all of the different Pokemon's presences. If one is approaching, please inform me. I need time to think, okay Bud?
JayLv99 - July 26, 2007 05:03 AM (GMT)
The Ralts just stood there, but its acknowledgment of your request was assumed. Suddenly it perked up and seemed to indicate something to your left. It was a Hoot-Hoot!
~*CosmicDragon*~ - July 27, 2007 11:21 PM (GMT)
Todd Stared at the Pokemon, Until he Realized that it was a Hoothoot. "A Hoothoot, eh. Well, Not my Favorite Pokemon, but it will Make for a Good Battle. Who Knows, it Might Clear my Head to Help me Think. Alright Zigfried, Front and Center!" Suddenly, Todd's Stomache Raced. Ralts Didn't Learn Any Attacks Until Level Six. Zigfried was at Level Five. How Could Zigfried Fight with Only the Move Growl? "Okay Zigfried, We've Never Actually Battled Before, so this could be Hard. Do you Think you could Tackle Hoothoot, even Though you don't Know the Attack? I Mean, use a full-body Tackle, not the Actual Move." Saturn was Worried, How would he be Able to Win?
Fire Starter - July 28, 2007 02:58 PM (GMT)
Your ralts looked at you and sighed. Its not like it doesnt know every attack it can learn or anything <_<>_> So it just stared at you and waited for you to specify an attack it knows...
The hoothoot just switched feet and stared as well.. Possibly thinking. "How dense can one person be..."
~*CosmicDragon*~ - July 28, 2007 03:22 PM (GMT)
[Ooc: Sorry, I'm a member of a lot of RPG's and I get confused of which rules they all have, and I got them confused. On one of them my starter was an Abra, and I just had it use tackles because it only knew Teleport.]
Todd's cheeks turned red, he couldn't believe he forgot that rule. "Oh, right.... heheheh, sorry Zigfried. Go ahead and use... let's try a Shock Wave attack. Flying types are weak against electric attacks." Todd felt triumphant that very moment, until he realized that he had to give Zigfried commands to evade attacks as well. "And Zigfried, when Hoothoot tries to attack you, use Teleport! Teleport behind him, next to him, whatever, just throw him off guard and use another Shock Wave attack close up!" Todd began thinking to make sure he didn't forget anything. Feeling safe and secure, he settled his mind to watch the battle.
jtthechamp - July 29, 2007 04:45 PM (GMT)
HootHoot caugt a smal bit of the attack as he charged in with a wing attack only to have Ralts dissapear. a sudden burst of electricity hit Hoothoot off gaurd sendng it to spiral to the ground. Before it hit the ground HootHoot used aerial ace saving it from disaster. Ralts was surprised and had no time to react, being hit doing moderate damage.
~*CosmicDragon*~ - July 30, 2007 03:00 AM (GMT)
Todd was so excited, this was his first battle! For a split second he forgot that he had his important desision to make soon. Realizing this, he shook his face back and fourth, snapping out of his trance. Todd stared at Zigfried, and thought of what command he should issue. "Zigfried, you're doing great. Let's try a slightly different tactic. Use Teleport, as fast as you can. Make it like a Psychic's version of Double Team, if you can! Keep going back and fourth repeatedly until you're completely out of Hoothoot's site, and come in with another Shock Wave attack? Okay, buddy?"
Hawkstorm - August 2, 2007 06:20 PM (GMT)
Zigfried nodded, and began to teleport to different locations making what seemed like many copies of itself. Hoothoot used Foresight, pin poiinting where the Ralts was teleporting.
Zigfried knew this, however, and sent the Shock Wave into Hoothoot, who received a decent amount of damage. It retaliated with a peck attack, which knicked the Ralt's feet as it moved out of the way.
~*CosmicDragon*~ - August 3, 2007 01:03 AM (GMT)
Todd was really excited, and couldn't help blurting out his next command. "Zigfried, use Shock Wave on Hoothoot, but at the last second use Psychic on your own attack, and drive the thunder into Hoothoot's wings!" Up to this point, Todd had been quietly issuing attacks to Zigfried. Being caught up with excitement, however, he shouted this command, and it was really loud. He only hoped Hoothoot did not hear it, for that would ruin his plan, which he somehow was able to think up, even he had to admit it was clever, and something Hoothoot would not expect, that is, unless Hoothoot overheard.
Fire Starter - August 4, 2007 01:28 PM (GMT)
OKay.. I am sorry but that absolutly no sense to me whatsoever :( I assume that you want the attack redirected straight into hoothoot so that is what I am going to do...
Damaging! xD The hoothoot used hidden power and it deems to be grass. Not damaging there :)
~*CosmicDragon*~ - August 13, 2007 08:50 PM (GMT)
[Ooc: Yes, that was it. I read somewhere that electric attacks are powerful against Flying types because if the electric clips the wings, it disables flight or something like that, so I just decided to make things interesting.]
[EDIT: Oh, I see why you couldn't understand it, I reread it, but I realized instead of writing Hoothoot, I wrote Zigfried, and Ralts. Sorry, typo.]
BIC: "Great job, Zigfried! And we were so lucky! Hoothoot must be getting tired by now, so let's try to wrap things up! Whip up your strongest Psychic attack and... well, you know the rest! After all, Psychic attacks are strongest when used by a Psychic type. Got that?" said Todd to his Pokemon, which he was starting to develop a bond with. He felt safe being with Zigfried, even though they only met a few minutes ago. But Zigfried was following orders pretty well, and seemed to be friendly.
Magmabuzz - August 16, 2007 04:27 PM (GMT)
Your Ralts unleashes a final Psychic attack, hitting the Hoothoot hard and putting it out of it's misery. Your Ralts gained a level and .5 happiness! As you begin to celebrate, you hear a noise. Investigating a nearby bush, you find the noise to be a Nidoran F chewing on some twigs.
Avalanche. - August 25, 2007 04:23 PM (GMT)
Todd stared at the Nidoran, admiring its beaty. He had always liked the Nidoran Pokemon, and to see one on his first day of his journey is absolutely amazing. Snapping back to reality, Todd spoke to his Zigfried. "Would you look at that, Zigfried! It's a female Nidoran. I'd love to capture one and add her to our team. What do you say?" Sensing a sound wave in the air, Todd was startled, but quickly realized that the sound wave was saying "Yes". He thought that Zigfried, being a Ralts, communicated with him by using brain waves. After all, he was a psychic type.
"Okay, it's settled then, I'm going to capture this Pokemon!" With that, Zigfried ran up to the bush, and seemed ready to fight. "Sorry Buddy, but I bet you're tired from battling that Hoothoot. How about I give you a rest and send out Dimetrius?" So Todd took out his Pokeball, and sent Zigfried back to his pokeball. Then he took out a different Pokeball, and shouted "Go, Dimetrius!".
When Demitrius was sent out, he commanded for Demitrius to use Flash on the Nidoran. One, so he could get her attention, and two, to lower her accuracy to make it easier for Demitrius.
Jupe - August 28, 2007 02:21 PM (GMT)
A brilliant flash lit up the forest, causing Nidoran to squeak in surprise. Blindly, the wild Pokémon lashed out with her front claws, scratching at whatever came to hand. Fortunately for you, what came to hand was mostly a scraggly bush instead of Dimetrius. Well, you certainly have Nidoran's attention!
Avalanche. - August 29, 2007 12:50 AM (GMT)
Todd began to snicker a bit. Not at the poor Nidoran who was stunned by the Flash attack, but at the battle itself. He enjoyed his last battle very much, and already was getting in to this one. What great fun he thought.
"Okay Demitrius, use... Signal Beam on Nidoran!" Todd screamed with all his might. Something sparked in his head. Battle Commander Saturn, my father.... His thoughts were interupted by the intenseness of the battle, but after a split second of watching the match, he wandered off again into deep thought. My father, as a Team Galalctic Member, had a lot of poison types. Just like Nidoran. He taught me that, though undnerestimated, Bug type attacks are strong against Poison. Todd thought of this not because Signal Beam was a Bug attack, but because with all the fun of battling, he forgot about "his choice". Thinking of his father reminded him that sooner or later, he would have to make a choice of whether to be evil, or good.
As narrator, I can say Todd will choose the right the path to be a good trainer, and not follow Saturn's footsteps, even if Todd loved Saturn dearly. But as of now, Todd does not know.
Trying to get his mind off of this, he looked up to resume watching the battle.
Angie - August 29, 2007 09:33 PM (GMT)
(Jupe never said that Nidoran was stunned, but I'll give it to you.)
The beam was shot at the Nidoran that couldn't move from the blinding flash attack. It caused a great amount of damage on the opposing Pokemon because of the type advantage. The Nidoran tried to attack your Pokemon, but since it was stunned it didn't move. You look at the pitiful Pokemon before telling you Pokemon what attack to use next.
Avalanche. - August 30, 2007 01:22 AM (GMT)
[I didn't mean it was stunned as in couldn't move, I only meant it like the flash had startled the Nidoran. It was a poor choice of words on my part, sorry. I would write my next command, but I don't know if maybe you want to edit your post, or if we should just continue on anyway.]
Angie - September 1, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
You may continue. I really don't care. Nothing to get upset over. (:
Don't edit that post, just post again. If someone has a problem, they can delete it. (:
Edit:// Oops, but "something" not "someone". MONSTERS! xDD
Avalanche. - September 1, 2007 06:22 PM (GMT)
[Okay =] ]
Todd was unsure of what to do at this point. He saw the face of his Dimetrius, and wanted to issue an attack. But then again this seemed like a good time to throw a Pokéball and try to capture the Nidoran. Well, at least that is what Todd thought, with the Nidoran being stunned and all. Maybe the face of Volbeat was a sign that it was not yet time to capture it, but maybe the accidental stunning was a sign that it was time.
Desicions, desicions.
So what if I waste one Pokéball. It's better than not catching the Nidoran and thinking 'what if I had thrown that Pokéball?'. It was decided, Todd reached into the backpack and found a vacant Pokéball. Thowing it, he couldn't help shouting "Go Pokéball!"
Hawkstorm - September 3, 2007 09:31 PM (GMT)
The pokeball sucked in the Nidoran, and the pokemon didn't seem to resist capture. After a few moments of wiggling, the ball came to a still stop.
Congratulations! You managed to capture a Lv. 5 Nidoran F ^^ Any nickname?
Avalanche. - September 4, 2007 05:31 PM (GMT)
Todd was amazed that he caught the Nidoran on his first try. He was overly excited. Settling down, pulled down his shirt, adjusting it. Clearing his throat, he walked over to the pokéball. He picked it up, and looked down at it. He was deciding on a nickname. "Okay, how about I name you... Victoria? Yep, I'm going to name you Victoria.
Todd took Victoria's Pokéball, and put it inside his pocket. Then he took Demitrius's Pokéball, and held it out. "Good work Demitrius, now return." Now Todd began walking down the Way again, wondering what... or who... he would encounter next. Who, Todd shivered as he thought about the "who". His desicion time was slowly approaching.
Hawkstorm - September 5, 2007 10:13 PM (GMT)
((OOC: Updated Victoria's Nickname =3 ))
As you wandered, a strange person stood against a tree, twirling a pokeball. They wore a black overcoat, and a black hat to match. He looked up, revealing ice blue eyes.
"You." he said, in a sharp voice. "Wanna battle?"
Avalanche. - September 6, 2007 12:50 AM (GMT)
((OoC: Okay, thanks. ^.^))
Before Todd met the guy, he shook the thoughts of his desicion out of his head. He began to think about his newly captured VIctoria. But his happiness quickly ended when the man asked for a battle. The time for his desicion was finally here.
You've probably been wondering what the desicion is. Well, growing up from a family of a villain, and anti-villain, he was unsure of which path to choose. He was accustomed to some villainous things, but had an attitude much like an anti-villain. Just thinking about what to choose made him feel uneasy. If he chose to avoid villainy, what would his father think? If he chose to become villainous, will his mother shun him? Well, Todd was scared, and did not not want to make his desicion right now. But too bad for him, it was time.
What do I do? Do I steal the guys Pokémon and run, or do I battle honestly and fairly? This is completely different from battling wild Pokémon. thought Todd. "Uuum, sure........ I'll... battle you. Uuh, why don't you send out your Pokémon first. After all, I am a n00b when it comes to Pokémon battles, I'm a rookie. It would be the least you could do." Todd tried to sound as weak as possible in this statement. He really didn't care who sent out their Pokémon first, he just wanted time to think, to think without being classified as suspicious. At least he could say he was annalyzing which Pokémon was best suited in this battle.
drawring of a key - September 6, 2007 02:26 AM (GMT)
The trainer, noticing that you had noticed his eyes, pulls down his fedora a good few inches. Weird...and it gets weirder. He starts fumbling to open his briefcase, then, pulling up his fedora a little so that he can actually see, undoes the clasp and starts rummaging through the case, tossing out an old can of sardines, a loosely stapled packet of forms, a putrid sock (ew) and the P volume of a waterlogged encyclopedia before finally finding a Pokeball. "Go, Mankey!" The pig-monkey Pokemon charges toward you, and you faintly notice it's wearing a magenta tutu before it knocks you over and starts repeatedly kicking you in the shin. The trainer, looking embarrassed, scratches the back of his head and shouts, "Wait for him to send out his Pokemon first!"
The Mankey grunts, looking disappointed, before doing a perfect pirouette. Okay then... :sweatdrop:
Avalanche. - September 6, 2007 09:21 PM (GMT)
<Todd was wierded out, and for a moment forgot about his desicion. Actually, with the start of the battle, he completely forgot about his desicion. He immediately got into the battle, and a completely different personality overcame him. Forgetting about what to choose, he quickly thinks about which Pokémon would be best against a fighting type. He had wanted to use Victoria, since he already used Demitrius and Zigfried, but in truth, Zigfried was the best match up, and Todd knew it. He took out his Pokéball, and called out "Go, Zigfried!", awaiting his Ralts to appear out of the Pokéball. "I'll let you make the first move" he said a in a low, mysterious voice.>
Hawkstorm - September 9, 2007 04:53 PM (GMT)
The guy blinked. "Err... okay then.. I thought you were a nOOb!" he said to himself. "Mankey, use Karate Chop on the Ralts."
Mankey twirlled itself in the air, before landing a hard hit on Ralts' head. Mankey clapped happily at it's acheivement.
Avalanche. - September 9, 2007 11:47 PM (GMT)
It took Todd no more than a few seconds to decide on what attack to use. Todd had already known that Karate Chop had a high critical hit ratio, so the obvious thing to do was to use Lucky Chant. And by using Lucky Chant, it would stall a little bit more time so Ralts could use Calm Mind.
"Okay Zigfried, use Lucky Chant!" shouted Todd. "And then follow up Calm Mind. Lucky Chant should buy us extra time before you get really low H P, so it's not that risky to use Calm Mind." Todd felt triumphant in his last statement, but in a few seconds he remembered the statement he made earlier. I am a n00b, so it's the least you can do. Truth be told, Todd was a rookie, but by no means was he a n00b. He had only said that so he could think about his desicion. A shiver ran through Todd's body for a split second. Then a thought went through Todd's head. He had made his desicion.
Without even thinking, Todd uttered a few more words. The adrenaline from his desicion-making made him speak. He was all charged up and ready to battle even harder than before. "Your move, buddy."
Magmabuzz - September 16, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
With the Lucky Chant, Critical hits are no more for five turns.
"That's okay, Mankey, we don't need critical hits to win! Use Seismic Toss." Mankey unleashes the set damage, causing Ralts to fall down. Ralts raises itself back into the air, calming itself and raising it's Special Attack and Special Defense. Mankey uses another Seismic Toss without waiting for orders, and Ralts falls again, looking weak.
Avalanche. - November 14, 2007 02:20 AM (GMT)
[OoC: Wow, I haven't been here in a while]
BiC: "It's okay Zigfried, I've got a strategy! Just use your hypnosis on Mankey, and follow up with Dream Eater! If Hypnosis is successful you won't be damaged by his attacks, and by using Dream Eater you will regain some H. P. And if he's asleep, he'll fall victim to a barrage of attacks!" Todd was psyched now that he had made his decision, and he was completely into the battle.
Reclaimer - November 17, 2007 06:00 AM (GMT)
Hypnosis hit perfectly, and Mankey fell asleep. Mankey sure are cute when they're asleep. Anywho, Dream Eater also worked, damaging Mankey a lot while replinishing Zigfried's health by a lot.
Avalanche. - November 18, 2007 04:33 PM (GMT)
"Okay Zigfried, now use your Magical Leaf attack, and quickly follow it up with Psychic. If he continues to sleep, we may have win this battle, and a lot faster than we would have as well." said Todd as he anxiously awaited for Zigfried to attack the snoozing Mankey. But as we waited, he couldn't help thinking of how cute Mankey are when they are asleep.
White Moondust - November 20, 2007 09:01 PM (GMT)
(OOC: In your next reply, you will completely lose touch with reality and try and get to the center of the Earth with a lawnmower! Mankeys are not cute)
The magical leaf completely missed, since Zigfried read your thoughts and was deeply shocked by them. However, he regained his focus and hit the Mankey with a pretty strong Psychic, reducing it to a small bit of health. However, the psychokinesis produced enough of a racket to wake Mankey up.
Avalanche. - November 21, 2007 01:56 AM (GMT)
(OoC: Personally, I don't think they are either, but I was simply restating what Reclaimer said, to make for a better story.)
BiC: Todd was mad that, one, magical leaf missed, and two, that Mankey was now awake, but couldn't say anything about the miniscule amount of HP Mankey now held. Todd figured he'd go with the flow, and comman one last attack, hoping it would hit, and make Mankey faint. "Okay Zigfried, use Psychic one last time, and make it your strongest yet!"
As Todd issued the command, he returned to his involuntary daydreams, wondering if he could get to the center of the earth with a lawnmower. (OoC: Sorry, couldn't help myself.)
Reclaimer - November 22, 2007 04:49 PM (GMT)
Mankey used a Protect, stopping himself from taking damage! He sure was a tricky one. And he had a funny face. Keh heh heh...
Avalanche. - November 25, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)
Todd was getting annoyed. "Alright Zigfried, let's give this Psychic attack one more try, let's finish it!" said Todd, hoping the battle would end now.
Nightrider - December 5, 2007 09:02 PM (GMT)
Mankey was lifted into the air, and thrown hard to the ground, fainting in an instant. Zigfried grew a level!
"Gr... you'll never get past my second pokémon, though," the man said, releasing a Slakoth. It looked sleepily at Ralts.
Avalanche. - December 26, 2007 08:34 PM (GMT)
"Oh cool, a Slakoth. I love that Pokémon. But either way, have to fight it. I guess Zigfried's had enough for the time being, return!" he shouted while reaching into his backpack for Zigfried's Pokéball. After Zigfried returned, he took out a different Pokéball. This one contained Victoria, the Nidoran (f) whom he had just recently caught. He hoped it would be rested enough to battle.
"Okay Victoria, come on out, use your... Scratch attack. Even if you're still weakened from your previous battle, Slakoth is a pretty slow pokémon."
[OoC: Could someone edit my profile, I'd prefer if the Dark Caterpie I got from the Promo were in my box, unless I have to actually go the Pokécenter and put it my box.]
Shadow of Regice - December 30, 2007 05:49 AM (GMT)
Victoria slashed slakoth in the face, but that didn't seem to bother the slakoth much, and didn't effect it's faint attack on Victoria, who winced in pain as slakoth hit her.
