I start off down the path, eager to see what things I will dicover along the way and what adventures will take place. I could not wait to start training my pokemon and leveling them up. I was so excited.

You didn't have to wait long. You could hear small footsteps, as if something was following you. You turned around to find a wild Oddish following you. Oddish realized it had been found. "Oddish!" it exclaimed, as if declaring a battle.

I giggled. "Do you want to battle, Oddish? Ok, I will accept your request. Come on out Cyndaquil and use an Ember on Oddish!"

The attack hit and was super effective against the grass type! Oddish then used a Leech Seed on Cyndaquil, but the nimble fire-type dodged it.

"Great job, Cyndaquil! Now try using a Smokesceen and follow up with a Quick Attack!" I call to my little pokemon, hoping for a surprise attack.

Your tactic worked, and as the Oddish was caught in the thick Smoke it was hit in the back hard with the Quick Attack. The Oddish came back with a Sleep Powder, which your Cyndaquil, amazingly, dodged.

"Great job, Cyndaquil, now try to use another Ember attack on Oddish!" I call to my pokemon "Then hit it with a Swift attack."

The oddish got away from the ember but couldn't avoid the swift attack.. Unavoidable and all that jazz. the oddish used a nice razor leaf that caused little damage to your pokemon :)

"Try using a Flame Wheel attack, Cyndaquil!" I call to my pokemon, hoping it will hit and do a lot of damage.

A wheel of fire spun towards the weed pokemon, doing fantastic damage.

"Oddish!" The pokemon said, with an angry tone. It wasnt going to let you win easily. Oddish unleased an acid attack towards Cyndaquil.

"Cyndaquil, dodge it using a Dig attack!" I call huridly to my pokemon, hoping to avoid getting him poisoned. I waited to see the results.

Cyndaquil began to burrow underground, but the acid attack hit it just before it got fully underground.
"Quil!!!!" it shouted as the acid began to eat away at it's fur, and it managed to get the acid off before too much damage was delt. Oddish laughed at your Cyndaquil's display, and used an Absorb attack to gain a tiny bit of HP back.

"Cyndaquil, continue the dig attack and surprise Oddish by coming out of the hole in a Flame Wheel!" I call to my pokemon, hoping he wasn't hurt too much by the acid attack.

Cyndaquil nodded, and jumped back into the hole. Oddish was suprised, and looked left, right, then left again. It used a Sweet Scent attack, but Cyndaquil was too busy underground to respond to it.

In a burst of Durt and Flame, Cyndaquil used Flame Wheel on Oddish, doing a decent amount of Damage. Oddish rolled backward, and used Sweet Scent again, making Cyndaquil drool at the sweet aroma wafting in the air.

"Try to shake it off Cyndaquil, and use a Smokescreen to hide yourself! Then use a Quick Attack! You are doing great so far Cyndaquil, I know you can do it." I hope the attacks do what I had intended and call out to Cyndaquil to give him a confidence boost, letting him know that I was proud of him and he was doing a good job.

Smokescreen does a great job of lowering Oddish's accuracy. The following Quick Attack does some decent damage. Oddish reacts with an Absorb, but misses due to not being able to see through the Smokescreen.

"Great job, Cyndaquil! Now send an Ember at the Oddish through the smoke!" I call to my little pokemon, hoping the attack will hit and maybe do a lot of damage.

Oddish ran around in circles in the smoke yelling "ODD!!! ISH!!! ODD!!!" while on fire. Finally it managed to put out the fire by jumping into a big puddle if mud. By then the smoke had cleared and it hit with another Absorb, doing little damage.

"Cyndaquil, dig underground then get in position!" I call to my pokemon and wait a while for him to dig and get in postion then I give him another attack, "Once you are in postion, hit Oddish with a Swift attack!"

Cyndaquil nodded, and burrowed underground. Oddish peeped it's annoyance, and looked around for the Cyndaquil. It sensed it just behind, and as your Cyndaquil jumped out and sent out a fury of stars, Oddish used acid to knock away some.

However a few hit the weed pokemon, and it suffered some damage.

"Now, use a Flame Wheel at close range to do some more damage!" I call to my little cyndaquil, wondering how much life oddish had left.

Oddish managed to roll away for the most part, but it was still hit on the leaf by the flames causing some damage. Oddish rolled around on the ground to put it's leaf out, and eventually managed to stand back up.

It looked tired, and panted while glaring at your Cyndaquil. It used Absorb once more to get some of it's HP back.

"You are doing wonderful, Cyndaquil! Let's try to do a combo! Try a Swift and catch the stars on fire with an Ember attack! Let's see if that hits and is enough to knocked out Oddish."

(I love your originality. Keep it up!)

The Oddish was hit by the flaming stars, causing the leaves on it's head to start smoking. It sniffed the air several times before realizing that it was on fire! It ran around in circles, obviously upset and fearful! I guess it doesn't know about "stop, drop, and roll", hmm? Will you help it, or continue to beat on the poor little Pokemon?

"Well, I suppose we should help the Oddish, huh Cyndaquil. Hmm, I have an idea, use a Tackle attack on the Oddish and beat out the fire." I tell my pokemon, that way I would be helping the Oddish, and continuing the fight.

Cyndaquil rushed to Oddish and lunged itself onto the helpless pokemon. Cyndaquil successfully put out the fire, but also put out Oddish. With Oddish fainted, Cyndaquil earned itself a level and some happiness! Moments after Oddish fell fainted, a Paras crawled up to it, staring at it curiously.

I giggled at the cuteness of Paras looking at the fainted Oddish. I knelt down an huggled Cyndaquil and congraduated him on doing a wonderful job. "That was wonderful, Cyndaquil. You did great. Time for a nice rest in your pokeball." And with that, I returned him. I continued walking on the path, not bothering with the Paras since it seemed to just be passing through.

As you continued, you saw a cute little hedgehog-like Pokémon sleeping in the middle of a tiny patch of flowers, all blooming and nice. It woke up and looked at you.

"Shay? Shaymin! Min min shaymin!"

I stood there open mouthed. Shaymin was a legendary pokemon. I couldn't believe he was sitting on the path in front of me. I knelt down beside the little hedgehog type pokemon, closing my mouth as I did. I carefully extended my hand in a friendly manner, so as not to scare the little pokemon. In a sweet voice I said, "Hello there little cutie. It's ok, I won't harm you." I waited to see what the little pokemon would do.

Shaymin yawned cutely and sniffed your hand for a minute. He then licked it and smiled.

"Min shaymin!" He jumped and laughed. He apparently wanted a battle.

I smiled brightly, amazed by the luck I was having today. I stand back to give enough battling room, then call out my Dratini. "Alright, I choose to battle with Air! Come on out! Let's start off with a Twister attack at the Shaymin!"

Shaymin was hit by the Dragon move and was knocked back a bit. "Shay min min!" Shaymin flinched!

(OOC: I think Twister can make Pokémon flinch. If not, then that's my fault.)

"Good job, Air! Now let's try using a Slam attack for a difference of move types!" I call to Dratini, wanting to mix up my move set so as not to be too predictable.

Shaymin was hit hard and grunted in pain. He managed to get back up, though, and looked at you happilly. Apparently he was having fun!

"Min Shay min!" He said, shooting a Magical Leaf attack at Air. Suddenly, Air flew back around behind Shaymin, causing the attack to hit him instead of Air! "Min... Shay....." Shaymin lay on the ground, out of energy.

Seeing this opportunity, you threw a Pokéball to catch Shaymin, but suddenly a trainer jumped in front of it and caught it!

"I'm sorry, but you cannot catch this Shaymin." He said calmly.

"What?! Why not?!" You asked, stunned by this.

"Well, this Shaymin is my Pokémon." He said, but when he saw the look on your face he knew you didn't believe him. "Watch." He returned Shaymin into a Pokéball. "See? I'm sorry to have caused you any trouble. The little guy got away from me. Here, for finding him, take this." He handed you a bag and walked away.

You looked in the bag, still disappointed that you hadn't caught Shaymin. Inside were two things, a Water Stone, and 500 G!

You continued along, and found a Sunkern!

I continued walking along the path, not interested in battling the Sunkern. I was really disappointed at not being able to capture the Shaymin and was not paying much attention to my surroundings.

You tripped and fell over. You quickly got up, angery and a bit in pain. You looked and saw what had tripped you. It was a Lotad! It used a Water Gun in your face and then laughed.

"Oh, you think that's funny do you? Well let's see how you like this. Come on out, Zengo! Use a Quick Attack on the Lotad!" I called out angrily as I sent out the cute little pokemon.

Zengo dashed forward and smashed directly into Lotad, dealing a critical hit. Lotad retalliated with a Razor Leaf.

"Great job, Zengo, now let's try one more Quick Attack with a Scratch attack added to it! You can do it!" I call encouragingly to my little pokemon, watching to see how well she will do.

Zengo dashed up and slashed into Lotad, who nearly fainted on the ground, having already lost a considerable amount of health. He tried an Astonish, but was ineffective.
