Title: Beginning A Fresh Journey
Description: Hope I don't get singed!

Ashmoo - July 16, 2007 02:34 AM (GMT)
*gag...* The hot steam rising from the route is making it hard to breathe. I walk down the firey hot route with my Piplup who seems to be as fatigued by the heat as I am.

"Don't worry, Piplup," I gasped, "this is a great starting point. You are strong against almost all of the other Pokemon here!"

"Lup..." Piplup replied.

Just then...

Magmabuzz - July 16, 2007 05:29 PM (GMT)
... a Vulpix wanders out in front of you. It looks up at you with it's adorable eyes. Well, they were adorable until it Quick Attacked Piplup. Your pokemon screamed as it fell to the ground.

Ashmoo - July 16, 2007 06:18 PM (GMT)
"Piplup!!" I screamed. I always knew the cute one were evil.

"Piplup, throw it off of you with a tackle!"

"Lup!"

Hawkstorm - July 19, 2007 07:08 PM (GMT)
Vulpix managed to get off before Piplup tried to flip it off, but it still was hit with a Tackle attack from the anngry penguin pokemon. Vulpix blinked, and used Quick Attack once more to knock Piplup down.

Ashmoo - July 20, 2007 12:36 AM (GMT)
Piplup got creative this time.

*WOOOOSH!*

He brought his leg across the sandy ground, and kicked up some sand. Vulpix came tackling right next to him.

"Good idea, Piplup!"

He proceeded to dive into a tackle attack directly into Vulpix's back.

((OOC: Is there HP percentages or something? Also, do I follow Serebii attack listings? And one more thing, can e have more than 4 moves?))

Magmabuzz - July 28, 2007 04:16 PM (GMT)
(Please don't control what the opponent does. And any move it can learn is available. Yes it can use more than four moves. No there ae not HP percentages.)

Vulpix proceeds its Quick Attack, knocking Piplup to the ground. "Piplup!" your pokemon cried, raising itself from the ground. Piplup's tackle does indeed hit, doing some okay damage to Vulpix.

Ashmoo - July 31, 2007 05:07 PM (GMT)
"Okay, Piplup, let's do some real damage!"

"Lup."

"Let's try a bubble attack!"

*gurgle, gurgle* Bubbles begin to fly from Piplup's mouth, in a plethora of sizes.

"Careful, don't faint it! We could use a new team member!"

Fire Starter - August 4, 2007 01:51 PM (GMT)
The bubble hit but vulpix was still going strong! It used a flamethrower on your pokemon and hit too! Not much damage there though. To powerfull of an attack at to low of a level :) not to mention a type disadvantage o.o.. Barely any damage!

Ashmoo - August 15, 2007 07:27 PM (GMT)
"Quick, Squirtle, throw a few more bubbles at it!!"

*gurgle, gurgle* More bubbles fly from Squirtle's mouth.

"Hit them a bit harder this time!"

JayLv99 - August 18, 2007 03:43 AM (GMT)
The attack does medium damage, but this appears to be a tough Vulpix. It's got determination, which is why it runs straight at Squirtle with a vicious tackle attack. Owch, that's gotta hurt.

Ashmoo - August 24, 2007 10:10 PM (GMT)
"Its okay!" I shout. "Keep going!"

"Squirt-LLLLEEEEEE!" Another numerous plethora of bubbles.

They float over to Vulpix...

Angie - September 3, 2007 03:09 PM (GMT)
They pop in the Vulpix's face, causing a good amount of damage. Looks like you chose the right type of Pokemon for this battle. Vulpix growls at you and then and then starts scratching the ground with it's paw. It runs towards your Pokemon, jumping behind it. It spits out an ember attack that causes some damage because your Pokemon was caught off gaurd.

Ashmoo - September 5, 2007 02:14 AM (GMT)
"Okay Piplup, focus the water from the bubbles into a stream."

A stream of water begins to shoot out of Piplup's mouth.

"Good! Use water gun on Vulpix!! Don't faint it, but try to get it at just the perfect spot to catch it!"

Alma Altars - September 8, 2007 11:00 PM (GMT)
The steady stream of watery bubbles continued thrashing away at Vulpix. Then, Vulpix collapsed. It hadn't fainted, but it was very close.

Ashmoo - September 8, 2007 11:41 PM (GMT)
"w00tmuffins of w00tliness!!!!"

Piplup looks at me with a look that says, "What a dork!"

"So? anyways, go Pokeball!"

A throw a pokeball at the Vulpix.

Tenshi - September 9, 2007 10:49 AM (GMT)
You watched as the little fox Pokémon was absorbed into the Pokéball. "Wiggle, wiggle... Wiggle, wiggle..." The ball wiggled around as the Vulpix was trying to free itself. After a few seconds of wiggling the ball stopped and made a soft, ding!

Vulpix was caught!

Information on caught Pokémon
Vulpix, Female, Lvl 9

[Occ: If you didn't want to catch a Vulpix, my bad. I don't pay alot of attention. :sweatdrop: ]

Ashmoo - September 10, 2007 01:51 AM (GMT)
"w00t! I caught a Vulpix!"

It seems like we chose a good place to begin!

"Vulpix, come on out."

The fox comes out of its ball. She seems to be happy with her new owner. That's good news.

"Let's see what's going on around here, guys!"

I let Vulpix and Piplup run aheqd of me, farther into the sweltering desert.

Magmabuzz - September 16, 2007 07:11 PM (GMT)
Vulpix and Piplup rin ahead of you, chattering along the way. Suddenly they both freeze, finding themselves staring into the eyes of a user posted image . Within a matter of seconds, a tall, young man takes a step behind Magmar, standing confidently. So, I see you've met my Magmar," he says cooly. "How 'bout I show you his strength with a battle?" He stares at you challengingly.

Ashmoo - September 17, 2007 08:06 PM (GMT)
ACK! A battle! I finally get to battle! w00t!

"I accept. Go Piplup!"

"Lup." Piplup gets determined, just rested after the fight against Vulpix

"VIX! VULPIX!" Vulpix starts cheering on her new freind.

"Use water gun! As hard as possible!"

"Glugglugglugglugglugglug" water starts shooting from Piplup's mouth, across the gap between Magmar and himself.

Angie - September 19, 2007 01:49 AM (GMT)
As the cool and refreshing sprinkle of aqua hits the Magmar you see a tiny bit of steam rise from it's flaming hot body. The Magmar yelps a little bit, but it seems to be a pretty strong Pokemon. The Trainer yells to Magmar to use confuse ray. The Magmar smiles and gets to work on the attack. Luckily for you, your Pokemon is extremely lucky and the confusing effect didn't work on it, or it's confused all the time and didn't make a difference. Your turn. (:

Ashmoo - September 19, 2007 08:19 PM (GMT)
((ROFL))

"Okay, Piplup, good job! Let's get in another good hit!!"

"Plup!" Another stream of cool water comes shooting out.

"Piplup! Watch out for any attacks!"

Piplup nots and continues shooting out the foamy spray.

Suppi - September 23, 2007 03:41 AM (GMT)
"Magmar, dodge!" The trainer yells. Magmar runs, but the beam of water follows it. Finally, the attack hits, seeing how Magmar wasnt very fit and eventually slowed down ><. The attack did good damage.

"Argh! Use Flamethrower; now!" The trainer shouts out, and Magmar opens its mouth and shoots fire at your penguin pokemon.

Ashmoo - September 25, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
"Piplup, throw a wall of water at the flames!"

Piplup blasts as much water as possible at the oncoming flames. The two forces meet in the center of the ring, and the area fills with steam.

"Keep at it Piplup! Break through the attack!"

Alma Altars - September 26, 2007 12:23 AM (GMT)
The entire area fills with thick steam, and no one can see anyone anymore. You hear the other trainer's voice. "Perfect! Magmar! Move and continue your attack! If Piplup can't see you, it can't defend itself!"

Luckilly for you and Piplup, the trainer was having one of those 'senior moments' and forgot Magmar can't see either. Magmar just misses repeatedly. It's sad, really. Dumb trainers with dumber Pokémon.

Ashmoo - September 27, 2007 05:23 PM (GMT)
*snort*

"Keep going at it Piplup! I'm... almost... kinda... sure you're breaking through! even though I'm not that sure..."

Piplup continues to blast water out of itself.

Alma Altars - September 29, 2007 06:05 AM (GMT)
"MAGMAR!" Magmar exclaims as the last bit of its health it washed away. It falls over defeated. Piplup gains a level and some happiness. The trainer recalls Magmar and scrambles around for another Pokéball, only to realize that was his only Pokémon.

"Well, I guess I'm done. Here ya go!" He hands you 300 G and walks off.

As you continue, you see a small, fuzzy, grumpy looking critter. You pick it up and it bites your wrists until you put it down. "Hm. Must be Bitters. But how'd he get all the way out he- Nevermind. I don't want to know." You leave Bitters to rot in the middle of nowhere as you continue onward.

"CHIMCHAR!" A Chimchar pops up and scratches you in the face!

Ashmoo - September 29, 2007 06:08 PM (GMT)
"Ouch! You scratched me in my face!!! What's your deal?"

"Chimchar!" He jumps up and scratches me again.

"Alright Piplup, blast him with all the power you got!!"

Piplup blasts a huge gush of water at the evil monkey thingie.

Alma Altars - September 30, 2007 01:07 AM (GMT)
Chimchar flew back and was obviously damaged quite a bit. It was really annoyed and balled up its right fist, when began shaking and you saw sparks begin to fly from it. It must've been bred to know Thunderpunch! Perfect for Water enemies like Piplup! It ran forward and punched Piplup hard, doing some super effective damage.

Ashmoo - September 30, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
"ARRRRGGGGG!!! That's the noise a pirate makes! But that's beside the point! Piplup, don't let him hit you!

"Try throwing a wall of water at him, to throw him back and hit 'em as hard as possible! UBER-MEGA-Water-Gun-a-mathingie attack!"

"Piplup?" It has no idea what that was about.

"Just hit it with a hard water gun."

"Lup." A blast of water foams out of Piplup's mouth.

Angie - October 1, 2007 12:27 AM (GMT)
The wall of water was thrown at the Chimchar, but missed because of Piplup not understanding what you wanted that well. Chimchar starts to charge at your Piplup, but it uses the wall of water to keep it away. As soon as the Chimchar crashes into it, it causes it to feel faint and fall to the ground, making it easy for Piplup to attack it now. It tries to get back up. Maybe you'll be lucky!

Ashmoo - October 1, 2007 01:26 AM (GMT)
"Puplup! Quick attack!!"

Piplup runs forward at a very fast pace, rapidly approaching the monkey.

"Knock him unconsious!! Blast it with a close range water gun!!"

Piplup rushes within three feet of Chimchar as it contiues its struggle to stand. It blast a load of water at the firey monkey.

Alma Altars - October 1, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
"CHIMCHAR!" Chimchar was almost hit when it tried to move back! It accidentally tripped, though, and was only able to dodge because it fell! Once again it was laying on the ground, very weak and down to the last of its HP. If you wanted to catch it, now would be the perfect time! If you wanted to defeat it, it wouldn't be hard at this point!

Ashmoo - October 2, 2007 01:16 AM (GMT)
I pull a ball from my jeans. "Go, Pokeball!"

It flies through the air, making a graceful arc before hitting Chimchar with its button.

Piplup, Vulpix, the recently appeared Akane, and I all wait in anticipation.

Alma Altars - October 2, 2007 09:49 PM (GMT)
Chimchar was sucked up inside and the ball shook.

*Wiggle*
*Wiggle*
*Wiggle*

Chimchar was caught! You continue and see a Cyndaquil!

Ashmoo - October 2, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
"Whee! Let's go, Piplup!, blast it wit an uber-water gun!!!"

"Lup." the farmiiar foam of water blasts from Piplup's mouth.

Alma Altars - October 2, 2007 11:14 PM (GMT)
Cyndaquil perfectly dodged the first Water Gun, but Piplup shot another one and hit dead on! Super effective AND a critical hit!

"Quil... Cyndaquil!" Cyndaquil's back lit fire and it used a Flamethrower, doing some not so good damage.

Ashmoo - October 2, 2007 11:20 PM (GMT)
"Quick, Piplup, use Bubblebeam!"

Piplup focused the beam of water into millions of high speed bubbles.

Alma Altars - October 2, 2007 11:22 PM (GMT)
The bubbles flew at Cyndaquil, who thought it may be best to hide. Y'know, lay low for a bit? Just till things subside a bit. Yeah. In other words, he used Dig. Your turn again.

Ashmoo - October 2, 2007 11:25 PM (GMT)
"Piplup, use quick attack to keep moving until Cydaquil comes up, then, use a bubblebeam at gunpoint. Or, um... squirtpoint. Whatever you want to call it."

Piplup began to zip all over the area.

***umm... you haven't updated my items or money latley... I'm down 2 balls and up however much money the one guy gave me. Also, the monkey is a Chimchar, not a Piplup. ((LOL))***

Alma Altars - October 2, 2007 11:29 PM (GMT)
Finally, Cyndaquil came up far from Piplup, who immediately tried to hit it with a Bubblebeam, but Cyndaquil ducked back into the hole and came up elsewhere. Bubblebeam was used again, but Cyndaquil just dug again and again. This lasted for quite awhile before Piplup got smart and shot a Bubblebeam into one of the holes, flooding the tunnels with bubbles and forcing Cyndaquil out, at which point Piplup promptly used another Bubblebeam, doing some major damage.
