Dragonkid and Diaren were once again wakng along side me as I carried Sunsap in my black and whte pack. It was a dry, bazing hot day. Dragonkid seemed to be loving the hot weather as did sunsap. "Enjoying my pain I see." I turned my attention to Dragonkid and caught him nodding his head.

Thiis wasn't the first time we had entered willow way. The adventure I had been on before ended abruptly as I returned to visit my mother. I had a feeling she had been havng a hard time with my being gone, so I had to give her a little reassurance and show her I was fine. But this time I intended to finish my journey before returning home.

"Whats the matter Diaren?" I wondered what my Diaren was doing growling at a bush."Pulling a dragon I see." I laughed at myself. Dragonkid shook is head and accidentally ran into a tree.

From out of the bush hops a :lotad: . It squirts some water at your face, unintentionally cooling you off. Seeing that you found it's intended act of pain a gift, it uses Astonish on Charmander, doing some poor damage. It's angry, and it want's a battle.

Dragonkid flared up and charged at the Lotad ready for his first command. "Just like ol' times." I chuckled. "Ok. begin with smokescreen." Dragonkid blasted puffs of smoke shadowing Lotad's and my own view. I made out Dragonkid's sillouhette and commanded him to use an ember attack. Dragonkid jumped and released small embers, burning through the smokescreen.

But Lotad's Astonish made your Charmander flinch. Don't blame me, blame the randomizer. Lotad fires another Water Gun, this one intended for Dragonkid. Your Charmander receives some decent damage from that one.

"Ok use another ember then scratch him." I yelled. The lotad was frustrating me. As agitated as I was I tried to keep a cool head."You can do it." I encouraged my little pokemon. He was trying but to no avail, this was going to be a tough battle.

Lotad is struck by the embers, but is not burned by them. Scratch, however, does much better, peircing into Lotad and causing him to cry out in pain.

"Okay growl so his water attacks do less damage, then scratch again. Keep at it." Dragonkid growled out giving me a startle at the determination in his growl. He then launched hmself into the air and towards Lotad.

Growl does it's job, lowering Lotad's attack. however the following Mega Drain, which was not affected by Growl, came in at full strength. It was a poor hit, but healed Lotad a bit. The proceeding Scratch does some okay damage as well.

"alright one more ember then were done." I shouted, reaching into my pocket to ready a pokeball.my charmander sprinted and began to let out an ember onto the opposing Lotad.

Ember took out just enough of Lotad's health that he was too weak to attack. He was ready to be caught or defeated now.

I enlarged the pokeball and threw it like a football, it hit the lotad, but I hoped the force of the blow didn't knock it out, I would very much like someone that could control dragonkid.

The Lotad was instantly sucked up into the red and white sphere. The Pokeball rocked back and forth several times. Looks like Lotad has been caught! It's a level five and it's male. Would you like to give it a nickname?

""Go onimusha, you get the next battle buddy." My dounle blue dratini curled around my body in a sign of satisfaction. "Your welcome bud" I returned "We have gotta train a lot before we can even compare to the next gym leader. It won't be easy you guys." After my brief speech i sent oni out to search for our next battle.

You walked some ways before a trainer sat on a rock with a Starly in her lap. It was eating some food out of her hand, before it noticed you.

"Star!" it said, nodding twords you.
"Hm?" the girl said, and looked up. "Oh! Hello. My name's Rachel, and this is Starly."

At mention of it's name, Starly peeped in happiness and made itself look larger by puffing it's chest.

'Hi Rachel, I'm JT. this is onimush my dratini,, oni for short, and this is Dragonkid my charmander. We were just looking for a battle to help us train for the gym leader, we have a long way to go though.."I exclaimed with growing anticipation, hoping this would be our next battle.

Rachel smiled, seeing something about you. "You seem to want to battle." You nodded. "I challenge you, then. I shall use Starly." She said almost as though forcing you into battle, whether you had agreed or not.

"Thank you." I looked over at oni and smiled. I quickly reverted to a serious state and got ready to battle. "oni were gonna start out with a thunder wave then follow it with a slam attack." Oni backed up then prepared yo release a weak jolt of electricity.

(By the way, your Dratini's nickname is listed as Oshimusha in your profile. That confused me when I was trying to find out who "Oni" was. Would you like me to change it's name to Oni or Onimush, as your previous post said, or would you like to leave it as it is?)

"Starly, use Double Team," Rachel said calmly as she flicked her head, allowing her hair to flow in the air. Starly began to make multiple copies of itself, but not before Dratini could release it's Thunderwave. The weak jolts crashed into Starly's chest, paralyzing her on the spot. However, when your colorful Dratini tried to slam into Starly, it instead crashed into one of the fakes, causing it to dissapear and causing Dratini to hit the ground with a thud.

(oops ment to name him onimusha, please change if you don't mind, thank you for pointing that out.)

"it's ok oni we'll wait for the double team to wear out . In the ean time use dragon dance and agility, that should give us an edge." hopefully when we do get an attack off oni will be quicker and stronger.

Oni's Dragon Dance and Agility raised his stats by a lot.

"Starly, Peck." Rachel said bluntly. All the copies came forward at once, pecking Dratini for mild damage. Suddenly, all the copies faded away, leaving the real Starly in front of Oni.

"alright, now use twister and follow it up with a thunder waze." Oni began to conjure a orado to hit Starly, It looked like a mild storm was brewing with the attacks being performed..

The Twister hit Starly for a critical hit and made her flinch. Then the Thunder Wave paralyzed her on the spot. She was unable to move and couldn't attack.

"alright now use a slam attack followed by swords dance, our next attack will be vicious." I got ready to follow up and started to form a strategy."ha ha" i laughed out loud to myself.

Things were looking bad for Starly, and a Dratini tail hitting it in the face at speed was not helping. The Dragon Dance was funky.

Oh, ok, it raised Attack and Speed considerably. You are all so boring XD.

"ok use thunder wave, and folow around the thunder wave to hit starly, kinda like a bolt tackle." It wouldn't be as strong but at least it would do some damage.. Out of the corner of my eye I see something in the trees. "what are you doing dragonkid," "well I would be break dancing on the roof, but there are only trees so..." :| x_x *throws rock*

The Thunder Wave attacks completely immobilized Starly. She could no longer move in any way. I suppose it's your turn again.
