Title: Scy Begins her... Adventure Thingy!
Hawkstorm - July 6, 2007 09:14 PM (GMT)
After wandering for a few days, I came upon a quiet place where pokemon and grass seemed endless. Wondering what was here, I began my journey in this area: Willow Way.
Grabbing a pokeball from my belt and tossing it, I sent out my Noctowl whose feathers shone like a thousand stars.
"Noctowl," I said, "See what you can find around here."
Magmabuzz - July 6, 2007 09:18 PM (GMT)
"Noctowl!" Nowctol calls to you from the air. He swoops down to the ground, and you rush forward, trying to catch up. When you arive, you see that Noctowl has spotted a :twistedspoon: ! But gaurding it happens to be a wild :sunflora: ! Looks like you're not getting that item on his watch.
Hawkstorm - July 6, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
Studying the Sunflora, and with my knowledge of pokemon, I knew it was a grass type, Weak against Noctowl's Flying attacks.
"Noctowl, Begin the battle with a Peck attack." I said, after catching up to the owl pokemon.
Alma Altars - July 7, 2007 01:07 AM (GMT)
Just as Noctowl flew closer to it, Sunflora's eyes shone bright and its face grew an expression that showed it had an evil plan. It quickly reacted with a Sunny Day attack! It obviously knew Noctowl was Nocturnal, and it was so distracted by the sudden Sunlight that it closed its eyes and landed back by your side, unable to see for a moment. Finally, its eyes adjusted to the new light and you could command it once again.
Hawkstorm - July 7, 2007 01:13 AM (GMT)
Grunting, I knew this Sunfora would be a challenge.
"Noctowl, Watch out for Solarbeam, it only takes one turn now." I said. "Now, try to use Peck Again!"
Alma Altars - July 7, 2007 01:18 AM (GMT)
The peck was successful this time, and did a lot of damage, despite it being a usually weak move. The Sunflora looked as if it were going to use a Solr Beam, but then stopped. It must have realized it was against a Flying Type. It instead used a Pound, doing some damage.
Hawkstorm - July 7, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)
"Noctowl, Try to use an Air Slash This time. Aim for the Feet, and try to trip it!"
This was great! I hadn't battled in a few months, and I still seemed to have it! .. Well, Whatever 'it' was. I never was an awesome trainer when I began, so what would a few months of not battling help?
Alma Altars - July 7, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
It sure did! The move worked like a charm, and Sunflora fell to its knees. It was unable to get up or move now! It tried a Solar Beam, but the Sun had started to die down, so it could only begin charging this turn. Watch out! The Solar Beam's coming next turn!
Hawkstorm - July 7, 2007 06:07 PM (GMT)
"Noctowl, Heads up! Didge that solarbeam, then use Air Slash once more!" I commanded, and awaited for the outcome of this situation.
It would either end good, or end in a disaster.
Silverpelt - July 8, 2007 08:57 AM (GMT)
The Sunflora was surprisingly fast at storing energy, and hit your Noctowl's wing, sending it circling to the ground. Noctowl tried wind slash, but it missed due to it's sudden injury.
Hawkstorm - July 13, 2007 12:52 AM (GMT)
(It's amazing how buried one's journey becomes after 5 days o.O )
"Noctowl, are you okay?" I asked, although it was quite a dumb question. "Use Forsight if you can, then use Quick Attack. Do'nt hurt yourself more, and if you can't attack just say so."
jtthechamp - July 13, 2007 05:46 AM (GMT)
Noctowl was able to execute both attacks. Quck attack hit with power and precision dealing quite a bit of damage. in retaliation Sunflora used mega drain to get some energy then hit with a strong Leaf storm attack hurting Noctowl's wing even more.
Hawkstorm - July 14, 2007 12:06 AM (GMT)
"Noctowl, Return!"
With a flash, the owl pokemon was returned to it's pokeball. "Now, Ice, Take to the skies!"
Shinying brightly with the powdery snow on it's feathers, the legendary ice-bird flapped its wings. It was small for an Articuno, but it still was larger than I.
"Heads up, this is a tough opponent." I said cautiously. "Use Ice Beam!"
jtthechamp - July 14, 2007 05:57 PM (GMT)
Sunflora Got in sunny day before being frozen in a jumping position. Sunny day was shining bright and started to gradually melt the ice away. The first bit of Sunflora to appear was the tip of it's hand.
Hawkstorm - July 18, 2007 02:14 AM (GMT)
"Ice, Use Wing attack then Peck at it's head! Hopefully that will wear it down." I said, trying to sound all serious and stuff.
Alma Altars - July 24, 2007 05:57 AM (GMT)
The majestic Articuno flew at high speeds and knocked the enemy down with Wing Attack, after which it Pecked it, doing major damage in all. The Sunflora couldn't move because it was frozen.
Hawkstorm - July 26, 2007 06:33 PM (GMT)
Grunting, I twirled an empty pokeball in my hand. "Ice, Try Wind Attack followed by another Ice beam. That'll make the ice thicker and colder." I said, looking at Ice.
Silverpelt - July 28, 2007 02:59 AM (GMT)
Your Articuno, after doing a simple sommersault and a small loop in the air, hit the Frozen Sunflora, causing massive damage. But in your great dismay, the impact broke the ice, but the Sunflora still seemed a bit dazed and decided on using a Sunny Day, bringing the blazing sun into full view.
Hawkstorm - July 29, 2007 08:47 PM (GMT)
I blinked at the surprise of the move. The sun was soo bright! But why would Sunflroa use Sun...
"Ice! Heads up! It's Solarbeam can charge faster now!" I shouted, realizing what impact that could do. "Try using Hail, followed by a Blizzard Attack!"
Fire Starter - August 4, 2007 01:08 PM (GMT)
The sunflora was just fast enough to fire off one Solarbeam before your hail could take effect :) damage. It was also able to dodge the blizzard. Being notoriously poor accuraccy and all that. The hail hit a second later. Damaging :)
Hawkstorm - August 4, 2007 04:57 PM (GMT)
Hooray for Damage! =D Oh that was supposed to be in a thought bubble x.x
"Okay Ice, Try Blizzard once more!" I said, knowing this time it would hit because of the increase in accuracy caused by the move hail just like when thunder gets an increase in accuracywhen used in rain dance....
Tenshi - August 4, 2007 06:52 PM (GMT)
Ice swooped up into the air and used Blizzard. The little chunks of ice dropped down all at once onto the ground, some chipping against Sunflora, damaging it. The Sunflora got damaged quite bad but it was not willing to give up. Sunflora stood up and used Razer Leaf, the move flew towards Ice and went right into her wings, but somehow Ice managed to shake it off.
Hawkstorm - August 4, 2007 11:32 PM (GMT)
"Nice way to hang in there!" i said, smiling a little at the perserverence of the pokemon. "Now use Agility followed by another blizzard attack!"
(Nice Mew btw :o)
Suppi - August 6, 2007 02:05 AM (GMT)
The legendary pokemon swooped down fast towards Sunflora - gaining amazing speed. Then, it stopped and opened it's wings and it seemed to 'push' air. But the air turned into shards of ice and hit Sunflora doing decent damage. One more attack towards Sunflora and it would faint.
Hawkstorm - August 6, 2007 04:40 PM (GMT)
"Ice, let's go in for the final blow!" I shouted over the winds of the freezing air that began to blow around the field after the attack. "Use Wing Attack directly on Sunflora!"
[ x.X ]
Magmabuzz - August 8, 2007 10:12 PM (GMT)
Ice swoops in for the final blow. Sunflora cringes as it's hit with Ice's mighty wings, and falls to the ground, fainted. Ice gained a level and .5 happiness! You continue on your way when you hear a noise coming from nearby. All of a sudden, a couple of Spearow make their way out inot the area, swooping circles around the two of you.
Hawkstorm - August 9, 2007 12:46 AM (GMT)
Shielding my eyes, I grunted. "Let's make this a double battle. Jolteon, Let's go!" I said, sending out the second pokemon. "Okay, Use Thundershock on the first one. Ice, use Powder snow on them both."
(OOC: I wasn't sure if I could make it a double battle, but if for some odd reason i can't, then ignore Jolteon coming out and just use Ice x.X)
Magmabuzz - August 10, 2007 12:01 AM (GMT)
Jolteon electrifies one of the Spearow, doing some massive damage. Ice's Powder snow causes everyone to shiver, along with doing some great damage to the two Spearow. One Spearow Pecks Ice, doing some poor damage, while the other one uses Leer for some defense reduction.
Hawkstorm - August 10, 2007 12:27 AM (GMT)
Freezing Cold, and me without a Sweatshirt. Bah.
"Jolteon, u-use Quick Attack and Spark in a C-c-combo! Ice, use Quick Attack on S-s-s-spearow #2!" I commanded, realizing I sounded like a Seviper when I said 'Spearow' Ah well. It was cool ^^
Magmabuzz - August 16, 2007 04:16 PM (GMT)
Jolteon obeys, and gives Spearow something it'll never forget. Ouch. Ice just turns and looks at you. It can't learn Quick Attack. Spearow number one uses Arial Ace on Articuno, doing some decent damage. The second Spearow uses Agility, raising it's speed greatly.
Hawkstorm - August 16, 2007 10:35 PM (GMT)
"Oops, Sorry Ice! Guess I need to check my sources again x.x" I said. "Okay then, Ice, use.. ehrm... Ice beam on #2 and Jolteon use Thunderbolt on #1."
Alma Altars - August 24, 2007 11:52 PM (GMT)
Both Spearow were massively damaged, and were only able to keep themselves from fainting by eating two oran berries they must have found earlier. They both tried a whirlwind to get away, but neither were successful. It looked like one more good attack and they would both be out.
Hawkstorm - August 26, 2007 11:00 PM (GMT)
"Okay, Let's finish this everyone." I said, smiling. "Since they used the Oran Berries, Try to hit hard. Ice, use Ice Beam on #1, and Jolteon use Shock Wave on #2."
[Short reply, I'm tired from replting so much and well i'm braindead x3]
Angie - August 29, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
"Spearow!" The first Spearow cried out in pain as the Ice Beam hit it. The second Spearow dodged out of the way, feeling renewed a little from eating the Oran berry. Now it's turn for this annoying bird Pokemon to attack!
The first Spearow flew up into the air, then twisted itself around, it's beak acting like a tiny drill. The Spearow flew straight at your Jolteon, trying not to get confused from the spinning. It hit the Jolteon, but didn't cause much damage.
The second Spearow used Hidden Power on Articuno, which caused almost no damage. Looks like it's your turn again!
Hawkstorm - September 1, 2007 12:20 AM (GMT)
"Way to go guys!" I said, smiling. "Now, Let's try again to finish it. Ice, Use Powder Snow on both of them! Jolteon, try Shock Wave on Spearow number two!"
This battle seemed intense, but I wasn't prepared to loose it so easily. These Spearow were going down! xD
Angie - September 1, 2007 10:19 PM (GMT)
Your Articuno sprays the Spearows with the powdered snow. The first Spearow is frozen(thankfully it was on the ground!), so it can't attack. Spearow two took in a reasonable amount of damage, but wasn't frozen. Your Jolteon's shock wave hit spearow two, inflicting damage. Spearow two got ready to attack. It uses Aerial Ace on your Articuno, causing Ice some damage.
Hawkstorm - September 3, 2007 09:36 PM (GMT)
"Great shot's everyone. Now, let's go. Ice, use Ice Beam on Spearow number 2, and Jolteon, use Thunder on Spearow 1."
These Spearow were getting annoying, but I managed to show a grin of appreciation to the pokemon who battled so fiercely.
Magmabuzz - September 3, 2007 09:51 PM (GMT)
Articuno unleashed the Ice Beam, hitting Spearow dead on. The unfrozen Spearow managed a Fury Attack, jabbing your Articuno four times before falling to the ground, fainted. Jolteon shows off it's excellent aim by unleashing the fatal blow on the frozen Spearow. I believe that means two levels apiece, allthough if I am wrong please let me know.
Hawkstorm - September 5, 2007 10:24 PM (GMT)
"Great job everyone, now lat's take a decent rest. You both deserve one." I said, holding up their pokeballs and allowing them to be absorbed in a red light.
I myself was tired now from the intense battle, and I glanced around for a rock or a tree stump. Grunting from not seeing one, I continued to walk along and... ehrm... take in the beauty of nature as some would call it.

A wild Oddish pops out from...wherever tiny Oddishes disappear to when they aren't fighting trainers or photosynthesizing. Or maybe it was photosynthesizing...you never know. In any case, it snarls in...an Oddish's version of a vicious manner and bites down on your ankle, even though Oddish doesn't learn bite. :sweatdrop:
