Title: Chapter One
Description: Return to the Beginning
Hei-Ying-Shih - July 5, 2007 11:48 PM (GMT)
Kristy and Roz strolled down the road, the wind in their hair and their Pokeballs at their belts. Having recently heard of the new areas found on the road, they had decided to have an adventure. Kristy patted the badges on her shirt-she had collected all of them. However, as she continued down the path, the darkness seemed to press down on them. Shuddering, the brown-haired girl poked at one of her Pokeballs, releasing a black-and-cream, mouse-like creature.
Runt! Would you mind lighting the way?
Not at all, Mistress! The Cyndaquil happily allowed her flames to gather, burning bright in the shadowy path. Kristy sighed happily as the flames gave the fearful place a much more homey look.
Magmabuzz - July 6, 2007 12:16 AM (GMT)
It only takes a few more steps until you reach your first encounter... a wild :poochyena: ! It growls at your Cyndaquil before Howling quite obnoxiously, raising it's attack. Looks like your looking at a battler here.
Hei-Ying-Shih - July 6, 2007 05:52 AM (GMT)
Runt seemed to snicker, her little eyes flashing dangerously. The flames on her back expanded even more, flaming up into sharp quills, before forming into a spinning wheel of flame that shot forth, threatening to engulf the small Dark-type canine.
Magmabuzz - July 6, 2007 09:36 AM (GMT)
Poochyena could only watch in terror as Flame Wheel over took it. Some good damage done there. Poochyena picks itself up and begins to rush forward, jaw agape. It's teeth dig into Cyndaquil's nose, causing your pokemon to yelp in pain.
Hei-Ying-Shih - July 6, 2007 11:25 PM (GMT)
Runt's eyes narrowed, and she shook her head furiously, struggling to free herself from the pup's jaws. Slamming it against the ground, she started to claw at the ground, willing forth a Lava Plume...
Magmabuzz - July 7, 2007 04:38 PM (GMT)
Considering it's a fairly high leveled attack for a Cyndaquil, it's not as strong as it would normally be. Poochyena is shot with the spurting lava, causing a burn! Poochyena uses Scary Face. lowering Cyndaquil's speed. The burn hurts Poochyena a bit.
Hei-Ying-Shih - July 8, 2007 12:42 AM (GMT)
Runt glared at the Poochyena. Attack, you coward! Crunch would never be like this! He is a fighter! With a furious snarl, she lunged forwards, flames spewing from her jaw to engulf the Dark-type.
Magmabuzz - July 8, 2007 02:29 PM (GMT)
O.o
Runt unleashes a firey attack most likely presumed to be a flamethrower. Poohyena is now down to it's last bit of health. It rushes forward with it's jaw agape and bites into Runt, doing poor damage.
Hei-Ying-Shih - July 8, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
Runt snickered softly, and rolled her eyes. Bracing her back legs against the earth, and scrunching herself up, she launched herself into the air like a rocket, prepared to knock down this annoying little pup once and for all.
Magmabuzz - July 9, 2007 04:24 PM (GMT)
Poochyena is fainted, and Runt gains a level and .5 Hapiness! Runt smiles, proud of her accomplishment. You contine through the passage until you are interrupted by a :houndour: .
Hei-Ying-Shih - July 9, 2007 11:04 PM (GMT)
Roz gave the common canine a glance, then threw a Pokeball into the air. "Come on out, Hoit! Fly up, then Peck it!" Working his little wings furiously, the caramel bird forced himself into the air, glaring at his opponent all the while.
Suppi - July 12, 2007 05:56 AM (GMT)
The owl pokemon swooped down at the fire hound, and stuck it's beak out. Then, Hoit started moving it's head up and down when it was close to Houndour, and started bashing the pokemon's skull. The attack did great damage, but Houndour quickly swipped at the hoothoot, and it batted Hoothoot away. Next, Houndour opened his mouth and shot tiny flames at Hoit. It was an ember attack!
Hei-Ying-Shih - July 13, 2007 12:34 AM (GMT)
Hoit screeched in pain as the embers burned his feathered body. Flapping his wings, he began mumbling something in a low voice. Slowly, large stormclouds gathered in the sky, before opening up and covering the route with rain, to give him the edge over the Dark-type.
Good job, Hoit! Now, Toxic!
Just what I was thinking! Rolling his tongue, Hoit slowly gathered a pulsing blob of poision, protecting himself from it with the thin, transparent membrane. Finally, he spat it out, the membrane stretching thin and then breaking as it splattered towards the canine.
Magmabuzz - July 13, 2007 08:24 PM (GMT)
Houndour is covered in a poisonous goo. Ouch! Houndour, angry from the Toxic, unleashes another Ember attack. Luckily, your pokemon is not burned from the attack. The two glare at eachother, both wanting to win more than the other.
Hei-Ying-Shih - July 13, 2007 11:04 PM (GMT)
Hoit, don't give up! This rain should have weakened him enough. Use another Fly/Peck combo!
Nodding, the shiny owl Pokemon flapped into the air, his body slowly vanishing into the pouring rain. Suddenly, with a speed that split the air, he came rushing down, his sharp beak poised to strike.
Magmabuzz - July 16, 2007 05:07 PM (GMT)
Houndour dakes some horrendous damage as Hoothoot slams into it. It uses Howl, upping it's attack. The poison brings it's health down as well, making it weaker than ever.
Hei-Ying-Shih - July 16, 2007 10:35 PM (GMT)
Kristy withdrew a Pokeball from her bag, and aimed carefully at the Houndour. Drawing back her arm, she prepared to throw it, but was stopped by Roz's thought.
Let me.
Nodding, Kristy handed over the ball, and watched as Roz threw it towards the weakened Houndour.
Fire Starter - July 28, 2007 03:51 PM (GMT)
The ball wiggled 3 times and dinged. wow.. so exiciting! Anyway it was yours. Female and level 7 ish o.O.. Nickname?
Hei-Ying-Shih - July 29, 2007 06:04 AM (GMT)
Roz stroked the ball. I think I shall name you Kaku, she murmured, even as the sphere vanished to be sucked into the PC.
Fire Starter - August 4, 2007 01:41 PM (GMT)
A poochyena soon attacked! It wasnt a dark type yet but it sure would be! And psychic moves are still useless! :o
Hei-Ying-Shih - August 4, 2007 11:49 PM (GMT)
(Poochyena is a Dark-type! Silly guy! *poke*)
Runt rolled her eyes. Let me finish this one off again. Leaping forwards, she released a stream of flame from her mouth, shooting it straight towards the canine.
Magmabuzz - August 6, 2007 04:27 PM (GMT)
Poochyena hops out of the way, but is hit by a second attempt by Runt. Decent damage! Poochyena uses Howl, raising it's attack and startling you for a second.
Hei-Ying-Shih - August 6, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
Runt growled, and raised the flames on her back into a whirling inferno, before releasing it, straight towards Poochyena's face! A small smirk appeared on Runt's as she watched the horror dawning...
Silverpelt - August 8, 2007 02:10 AM (GMT)
Your Pokemon's jet of flame hit Poochyena dead-on, doing lethal damage. But the Pooch staggered to it's feet, and it sent a menacing growl. It wasn't done yet. It lunged forward, a bit your Pokemon, doing good damage. It retreated backwards, looking as if it was sure it could evade your next attack.
Hei-Ying-Shih - August 10, 2007 12:11 AM (GMT)
Dig!
Runt nodded, but drew back for a moment, acting as if she would release yet another burst of flame. She narrowed her eyes and glared at the canine, but suddenly dove down into the ground.
CodeRed - August 11, 2007 03:53 AM (GMT)
Runt barrowed underground. Since, well, it takes a turn for Dig to happen. Poochyena used a Howl again, increasing it's attack sharply again. Runt was still digging underground, getting to Poochyena. You were getting a little impatient. Hooray for patience!
Hei-Ying-Shih - August 11, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
Runt, can you still hear me?
Yes, Mistress!
Good! When you burst out of the ground, unleash a flamethrower as well!
Okay!
A deep rumbling, like flames burning, began to come from the tunnel...
Magmabuzz - August 15, 2007 03:53 AM (GMT)
The flamethrower, however, was uneeded. Runt pounds into Poochyena, fainting it and earning Runt a level and .5 happiness gain. You continue through the passage, with fairly little activity. All of a sudden, you are interupted by a strange noise. You come across a battle between a Poochyena and a Sableye.
Hei-Ying-Shih - August 17, 2007 11:56 PM (GMT)
Sableye! Rare! thought Roz to Kristy. Kristy nodded in agreement.
Don't approach them. Let's first see the outcome.
Roz gave an excited nod, probably at the prospect of capturing the rare ghost.
JayLv99 - August 18, 2007 03:52 AM (GMT)
The Sableye slowly approached, biding its time. As it moved within range, it stopped, giving you a great chance to make the first move.
Hei-Ying-Shih - August 19, 2007 12:57 PM (GMT)
(Why ain't it attacking the Poochyena?)
Alma Altars - August 25, 2007 10:08 PM (GMT)
(OOC: I suppose SOMEONE *CoughJayCough* didn't read the whole thing! xD)
Sableye didn't really do that. It was your imagination. Sableye actually used a Shadow Sneak attack on Poochyena, doing very little damage. Then, out of nowhere, Poochyena turned into a Ditto! It then became a Shuckle! Who would've suspected a Ditto on a Dark Type route?!
"Ka kaw! Ka kaw!" You heard from above you. A giant Murkrow swopped down and picked up the fake Shuckle. As it flew away, it ate the Ditto-Shuckle and dropped your favorite candy bar on the ground.
"What just happened?!" You asked yourself. "No, I don't even want to know." You picked up the candy bar and prepared to battle the Sableye.
Hei-Ying-Shih - August 26, 2007 12:29 AM (GMT)
Kristy picked up the candy bar and took a bite, chewing thoughtfully.
I choose you, Poisonball!
The Koffing appeared in a flash of light, levitating above the Ghost/Dark Pokemon.
Use Smokescreen, then Assurance!
Yes, Mistress! Poisonball's mini-volcano growths began working up and down, releasing large amounts of smoke into the arena.
Angie - September 1, 2007 09:06 PM (GMT)
(Wow, this is one crazy journey. Dittos and candy bars? xD)
Your Koffing's Smokescreen attack made it harder for the Sableye to see, but did not lower it's accuracy because of it's ability, Keen Eye. Sableye begins to cough and blink, trying to see your Koffing so it can attack while Koffing uses Assurance. Since Smokescreen really doesn't cause opponents any damage, it's power isn't doubled, but it just attacks. Since the Sableye can't see, Koffing catches it off gaurd, causing it a lot of pain.
Sableye tries to use Zen Headbutt, but has no such luck. It lands the attack on the ground since Koffing was able to dodge so easily. Guess that means it's your turn again.
Hei-Ying-Shih - September 1, 2007 11:36 PM (GMT)
Get right above it, and use another Assurance! commanded Kristy, looking curiously at the Sableye. Apparently, Smokescreen was a good idea. And if the smoke starts clearing, use Smokescreen again!
Angie - September 2, 2007 08:52 PM (GMT)
The smoke started to clear, but Koffing was going to try and use Assurance first. It flew up above the Sableye, confusing it a tiny bit. It looked all around, trying to see where your Pokemon was. Koffing used Assurance, which hit it from above(obviously). Your Koffing used Smokescreen again, but it seems like Sableye had gotten used to the smoke by now(or just had a sixth sense? d: ) because it used a faint attack on your Pokemon. The attack causes some damage, but not much. Looks like it's your turn once again.
Hei-Ying-Shih - September 4, 2007 02:06 PM (GMT)
Gyro Ball, then Assurance once more, spoke Kristy. Poisonball nodded, her hide seeming to stiffen as she hardened it to the likeness of steel.
And then she rushed forth.
Magmabuzz - September 9, 2007 04:19 PM (GMT)
After Sableye is attacked, it seems to be nearly fainted. It's down on one knee, catcing it's breath. It then unleashes yet another Faint Attack, making sure that it was able to hit your pokemon. Koffing receives some more poor damage.
Hei-Ying-Shih - September 10, 2007 10:51 AM (GMT)
Roz grinned, and unhooked a Luxury Ball from her belt.
Don't worry. You'll be captured in style.
She threw it.
Magmabuzz - September 16, 2007 07:20 PM (GMT)
The beatiful pokeball soars through the air, and absorbs Sableye into itself. The ball drops to the ground, wiggling a few times before coming to a stop. You've caught a male, level 9 Sableye! You pick up the ball, wiping the dirt off of it. Would you like to give him a nickname?
