Title: Breaking The Wind

The moment Meriva took her first step onto the trail, she instantly wrapped her bare arms around herself, not exactly prepared for the chilly air. No, it was not too cold, but the sudden change of the temperature certainly surprised her. Dropping her pale blue backpack, she opened the flap and rumpaged through until she retrieved a black sweatshirt neatly folded up by her foster mother before Meriva lefted for her journey. Stuffing it under her right arm, she closed the flap and reajusted the clip. In one quick movement she put on her sweatshirt before grabbing her backpack.

"Yukana, come out." Meriva said softly, gingerly unclipping one of her pokeballs and threw it up in the air. The red-and-white sphere opened with a 'click', and in a burst of red energy emerged her Skitty, oblivious to the cold breezes as she stretched and yawned. Without any warning the kitten pokemon eagerly climbed up Meriva's leg and into her arms. Not even the least bit surprised, the trainer laughed and patted the Skitty affectionately on the head.

"I thought you might be stuffy in there, Yukana." she said with a smile. With one hand reattaching Yukana's pokeball onto her belt. The Skitty mewled a reply, rubbing her head against Meriva's chin as the trainer started walking along the trail.

[[OOC: That was fun. o,o Please, may the next reply be slightly literate? Well I was rushing with mine, but still. xD]]

As Meriva and Yukana traveled deeper in the trail, it became more and more dense with thick, green trees. The trees stretched skyward, each with their own apparent nests built on the braches. Flying Pokémon eggs could bee seen high up in many of the nests. A breeze gently flew by the trainer and Pokémon, nicely rearranging the leaves in a beautiful way that made the trees almost seem to move.

Just then, the breeze picked up, and became more violent. A few smaller leaves could be seen being ripped from the braches and fluttering away behind the team. The fine dirt on the trail was also picked up, and flew at the two. They had to close their eyes to avoid being blinded.

The wind just became stronger and stronger! It had to be a Pokémon! Meriva, slightly shielding her eyes with her hand, looked toward the source of the wind. It was a Murkrow! Not just any Murkrow, either, this one was using a Whirlwind, so it must've been bred just right! It slowed down, for it had been using a lot of energy, but all for nothing. It hadn't managed to get rid of them.

The small black bird began to take quick breaths, trying to catch up with the work it had done. This was their chance! Could Meriva and Yukana defeat or capture this Pokémon?

(OOC: Was that okay?)
