What are the Elemental Spirit Guardians?
Thousands of years ago, the wisest and most powerful Dragonairs in the world were chosen to guard the Dragonair's Den. Each of the Dragonair possessed special abilities related to a certain element: fire, water, etc. Even after their lives ended, the spirits of these special Dragonairs lived on and have guarded the Dragonair's Den ever since. Throughout the millennia, the abilities of the Elemental Spirits have grown increasingly stronger.

How strong are these Guardians?
Their powers far surpass those of any known legendary Pokemon. One attack from an Elemental Spirit is enough to take out any Pokemon.

Cool! So I can use them in battle, right?
Absolutely not. Even if you gain their trust, the Elemental Spirit Guardians do not take orders from mortal humans. An Elemental Spirit Guardian would sooner eat you for breakfast than win battles for you.
If you manage to gain the trust of an Elemental Spirit Guardian and you find yourself losing a battle, the spirit just might step in and help you. But do not depend on it. This is a very rare occurrence.

How do I gain the trust of my Elemental Spirit Guardians?
Trust comes slowly. It takes time. Talk to your spirits. Do not anger them. The side areas are a good place to interact with your spirits since you will not be distracted by battles.

Are the Elemental Spirit Guardians good or evil?
Though they may seem a bit evil due to their unfriendliness, the spirits are actually neutral. As you gain their trust, they will become more loyal to you. Gain their friendship and they will do what they can to help you accomplish your goals, whether your intentions are good or evil.

Can I buy/sell/trade Elemental Spirit Guardians?
Never! Once you obtain an Elemental spirit, it is yours forever, whether you want it or not.

What if I make my Elemental Spirit Guardians very angry?
If you're lucky, they will make your demise quick and painless. If you're not lucky... well... you don't want to find out...

Will they take up room in my roster?
No. Elemental Spirit Guardians cannot be captured in a pokeball, so they do not take up room in your roster. All Elemental Spirit Guardians you have will remain with you at all times.

Can they talk?
Yes. With their great power and intellect, human speech is no problem for the Guardians.

How many Elemental Spirit Guardians are there?
As of now, 17 are known, one for each Pokemon Element.

Where do I find them?
At the end of each route is an altar dedicated to one of the Elemental Spirit Guardians. After completing a route, you may enter the altar and attempt to get the Elemental Spirit Guardian to join you. It is currently unknown what tests may have to be passed within the altar.
