It's now a Bibarel and just so you know, the Honey Tree was covered with a Lv. 7 Male Combee. I killed it :P.

I want a shiny.... I'll find one soon enough. Do they do anything special if you encounter one or is it just a different colour?

a shiny is a different color, weather its just a few shades lighter or darker, or it may be something completely different
foir example
:cascoon: and shiny is :shinycascoon:
and things like
:pichu: and :shinypichu:
you'll want to watch out for those kinds of shinies
but so far my brother and i have found in total 5 shinies
these are
:shinyratatta: now a :shinyraticate:, :shinyunown:, :shinyzapdos: (killed itself) (didn't even touch it), :shinybelossom:, and now a :shinycascoon:
