Title: Moveset Sharing Service
Description: Need a decent moveset? Come here!

Charizard38 - April 16, 2007 01:34 PM (GMT)
Shocking. Simply Shocking. A popular pokemon site with over 2,000 members, and there is nowhere to share and ask for movesets (Wynn used to have one, but it disappeared.) So therefore, here it is!

Now don't get me wrong. I am not an expert on movesets. However, I can tell a good one from a bad one, so if you need a moveset criticising, come here! Also, if you reckon you're good at movesets, you can come here and maybe do a better job than me.

Also, if you have found a slightly odd, but ungodly powerful moveset, please come and share it with us! Soon we'll have a database of some of the best movesets in the game!

Rules:
1) No Smeargles, as you can do what you like with them.
2) Criticise politely. Don't say n00b to them, but suggest to them a better moveset.
3) Don't ask anyone for moveset for a lot of pokemon, unless they say so.

And that's about it. Get posting!

Okay ^^ I will take a whack at it... But I will only tell you one of my movesets xP

Gardevior :male: Lv 61

Ice Punch
Psychic
Confusion
Shadow Ball

So.. What do you think I should change?

Charizard38 - April 17, 2007 07:15 AM (GMT)
Now firstly, because I'm going to have to play all the games again to become champion of the arcade (which I can't be bothered to do):

Gardevoir :male:

Splash

Hehe. While you're here, I'll have to say you haven't made a bad start. However, Alakazam is a better Psychic than Gardevoir. Oh well, we'll get over it.
The Only let down is the 2 Psychic moves. Get rid of confusion. Although it's a tad hippocritical, since my Mewtwo has Shadow Ball, Not many pokemon are weak to Ghost moves, compared to Fire and Ice. Overall, try this:

Gardevoir @ Leftovers

Psychic
Thunderbolt
Fire/Ice Punch
Calm Mind

Choose the Fire/Ice Punch depending on your team. It's worth noting that this is emerald only (remember to clone your TM's), so if you haven't got emerald, I'll have to try again.

Fire Starter - April 18, 2007 01:28 AM (GMT)
@_@ clone tm's? what? x.x (but yes this is emerald)

Charizard38 - April 18, 2007 05:49 AM (GMT)
Come here

Fire Starter - April 19, 2007 02:00 AM (GMT)
x_____X

I already used my master ball ;-;..

Suppi - April 19, 2007 02:48 AM (GMT)
If you into breeding, I suggest you could breed your Gardy with something that an learn Will-o-Wisp, so something likes:

-Pyschic
-Calm Mind
-Will-o-Wisp
- Tbolt.

Charizard38 - April 19, 2007 05:40 AM (GMT)
Yes, I was sort of thinking along them lines myself. However, that means FS would have to start again with levelling. If he does, I'll give him some EV's to do as well.

Fire Starter - April 20, 2007 02:27 AM (GMT)
;) I already have 6 ralts that know will o wisp :) bred it with my suppet o-o.. lol.. Okay I have heard of EV's.. but I dont understand them x.x explain.. now.. lol jk.. if you want to! *whistles*

Charizard38 - April 21, 2007 11:07 AM (GMT)
There was a good guide on them, but the sites down. I'll tell you when it works, and i'll pst the URL.

Fire Starter - April 21, 2007 12:57 PM (GMT)
Okay sounds good. I know they stand for Effort Value's but other than that o.o yeah... lol

There. What isn't in this guide isn't worth knowing. All Credit to 'Kenshin075'

*cough* if you like I could make another Olde Tactics Shoppe ><

as for the Gardevoir I would suggest something a little less force oriented; being a psychic it has access to a number of scay cripplers here's another idea.....

This moveset is simple and will work well in both emerald and d/p

:gardevoir: @ Lax Insence/Twisted Spoon

-Future Sight
-Calm Mind
*-Double Team/Hypnosis
*-Will-o-Whisp/Dream Eatter/Wish

*In DP you may want to replace these with Substitute and Rest or Focus Blast if you're feeling gutsy

EVs: HP and Sp.Atk should dominate this build though some Speed would be good as well

this is a bit of a slower but more percise way to kill because Future Sight will always hit anything with neutral property damage; the idea is to open up with Future Sight because Gardevoir can usually take a hit and is easy to predict with your enemys because it is a single type; then in the turns to come you use Will-o-Whisp to nerf your enemys atk and burn it and Double Team to combo with your Lax Insence and make a gardevoir a nice defence; OR you can use Hypnosis and Calm Mind to build up a more powerful FS; and then prepare another Future Sight with more calm minds; with the latter strategy you are more likely to be hit by an attack so Dream Eatter/Wish provides a solid healing move against everything but Dark and Steel; also notice the item difference; in strategy 1 you want to be almost untouchable and make your enemy take a slow burn to slightly amplify your FS whereas with strategy 2 you use a Twisted Spoon so both your FS and DE get not only STAB but an item bonus (and CM makes it even more devastating) the problem with number 1 is you need an enemy you can work to get it started; a fighting type with Foresight or a Xatu or Noctowl with Miracle Eye will ruin you; with the 2nd set you run the risk of getting a ghost or dark foe with insomnia as an opponent in wich case you will either have to switch or sacrifice Gardevoir but leave a nasty little FS present behind

Posting here rather than in Wynn's topic because his is primarily D/P-based. This is my current Crystal Team...could definitely use some help with hold items.

Electabuzz :female: lvl 63
Hold item: Magnet
Ice Punch
Psychic
Dizzy Punch
Tbolt
Notes: I sort of want to get rid of dizzy punch for something, but I'm a little nostalgic, as I got Electabuzz out of the special egg-thing. Well, it was Elekid then. I might get rid of it for Double Team or something, though.

Alakazam :female: lvl 63
Hold Item: Nevermeltice
Flash
Ice Punch
Fire Punch
Psychic
Notes: Definitely getting rid of Flash. Probably for Tpunch...but for now, it's useful in game.

Kingdra :male: lvl 63
Hold Item: Leftovers
Surf
Dragonbreath
Ice Beam
Smokescreen
Notes: Open to suggestions for replacements to Smokescreen...but Kingdra's movepool's limited, so this might be the best I can manage. Still, only one weakness and solid stats...

Machamp :female: lvl 62
Hold Item: None
Cross Chop
Earthquake
Focus Energy
Submission
Notes: Almost definitely going to replace. Probably with Heracross. If I do, the tentative moveset for that is Megahorn/Reversal/Earthquake/Return.

Crobat :female: lvl 61
Hold Item: Focus Band
Wing Attack
Confuse Ray
Return
Mean Look
Notes: Probably going to drop Return for toxic or something. Might drop Mean Look for Double Team...Iunno.

Houndoom :female: lvl 64
Hold Item: Blackglasses
Solarbeam
Flamethrower
Sunny Day
Crunch
Notes: Pretty self-explanatory. Houndoom's awesome. :D

So, yeah. Mostly, I could use help with hold items...I suck at them. Of course, G/S/C has a limited number of hold items available... .-.
