lopfot - February 9, 2007 11:45 PM (GMT)
Actually, so long as you own the game they're perfectly legal.

:sweatdrop:
1. I don't use ROM's, so I have no clue.
2. You have to use Rock Smash on the breakable rocks.
3. Isn't there 51 shadows?!? Otherwise I dunno. *shrugs*
4. O.o What?!?
Cloudar - February 10, 2007 05:21 PM (GMT)
Yeah, maybe roms are a bit illegal but it's a nice sense playing Gb on computer and you can use cheats and stuff...If you discover a page, please tell. So,to change my name(sounds a bit boylish)have to start a new account?
lopfot - February 10, 2007 05:44 PM (GMT)
To change your name, I believe you PM a mod. ANd as for roms, I LOVE using my FireRed rom with the GameShark to show me how yo make it through the game on my actual FireRed.

well roms aren't hard to get though I do reccomend just buying one of the game versions (there is a nice selection between Ruby; Sapphire; Emerald; FR and LG for the GBA and soon Diamond and Pearl for the DS or maybe go old school with Blue; Red; Yellow; Silver; Gold or Crystal for the GBC)
I legally use roms because I have ruby version =p I just use the rom for experimental purposes (it works great)

Ok then.I've got saphire,so I guess I'm legal. But to be honest, its not the only rom I am looking for.But if it is a rule of the page, not to talkabout that stuff,then...the law is law, even cruel! But if it is ok and know a good link, then just post and I will be really gratefull! I've got something new to ask:1)What is the pokemon journey?A RPG game or our own stories?2)Should I make a new topic for EVERY question I make?

look dude I don't like to sling this word around alot but stope being a n00b; there is an art to emulation and there is a fine line between emulation and piracy and you are crossing that; I am a proud emulator and know that if your intent is to simply pirate the game you don't need help because not many people want to get their hands dirtied because of someone else; if you have Sapphire then you can have the R/S rom but to take anything more than those is complete piracy; also emulating is more for playing old games or original games by people; they recently started making free arcades for all kinds of old games like Sonic The Hedgehog; but to pirate the game makes you a pimple on the face of emulators all around >_> thats what gives people who use emu's such a bad reputation
Cloudar - February 28, 2007 01:27 PM (GMT)
Auch...I guess you are right, but I wasn't see it that way. There are gb games I like, but didn't wanted to buy,and as roms I could try them.Using roms it's not like using game packs,so I don't find it exactly piracy. If somebody likes a game in a rom,I think he would buy it,because of game packs special taste. That's how I see it

ROM discussion is against our rules. I know that they are legal if used properly, but they are so often used illegally that I'd rather keep them off the site all together.
