Title: Although I like talking to myself...
Description: The Chatroom...

This may not be one of my best ideas, but I think it does deserve some merit.

Because I live in a completely different timezone to everyone, I hardly ever see anyone in the Chatroom. This is a shame, because I am quite frequently bored, and can't get MSN on this useless machine.

I think that one way to make the chatrooms more popular is by having a list, directly below the online list, saying who is online in the chatroom. This means that if anyone is bored, and see's someone online, they can go and chat if they so wish.

I've had far better ideas, so maybe this horrid cold of mine is messing my brain up. Who knows, but regardless, please post your comments.

I agree. I go on frequently and can never seem to find anyone online. What timezome are you in? Myself, I'm in EST.

I'm not telling what time zome I'm using. All I'll say is that it's NOT British Columbia.

& I don't go on the chatroom anyway, so I don't really care.

I think that's a fairly good idea, I've only had a full-on chat with someone like, twice. If there were a code for it, I'll post it here and see if Joan uses it. XP

I'm in GMT. It's good to see that so many people agree with me. A code exists, as I have seen it previously on many other forums. It's exactly the same, but it says:

(#) users in IRC Chat

(whatever IRC means lol).

Lol ^.^ That would be a good idea. I do get on the chatroom sometimes and have Never had a conversation with someone other than myself ^^

It's an interesting idea, but... I have no clue how to do something like that. Despite chatroom access being available from the site, the chatroom is completely separate from the site. But even if it was hosted on our Invisionfree site, I still would be just as clueless. XD

If anyone has any idea how to do this, I'd consider it. But I have no idea at all.

I'm in the Eastern time zone also, and I'm in the chatroom pretty much every evening, probably after most people are asleep, like around 9:00 p.m. to midnight. :P

While we're on the subject, I might as well say this, too. I've also noticed that when I am in there, some people will leave if no one says anything within a few seconds. At least say hi or something and wait a minute or two. Most of the regulars, myself included, don't sit there staring at the chatroom screen waiting for someone to come in. We do other things in other windows. I have my mIRC program set to flash when someone talks. But if you just come into the room and sit there, I probably won't know you're there.

What I do on the Chatroom is say "Hello?" or something then wait ten minutes. It worked once.

I sit and rant about stuff. Like why my keyboard has suddenly turned French on me! טיאח

Oooh... the wonderful and almighty Joan has commented. I'll try to comment back.
As I say, I've seen it done. However, the site I've seen it on is a bit...big (maybe 100,000 members?), so it isn't suprising that none of us know. I'll see what I can do.

And I'll try that 'Hi' idea. Thanks to all! Please continue posting!
