Ok we can start the RPG.
I'm walking through the Forest with Char walking beside me, I see a Pidgey flying over me and Char and it lands in front of us I tell Char to use Ember.

The Pidey looked at the ember attack coming torwards it. It tried to dodge but it was to late for the pidey. The pidey got angry and puffed it's self up and used a peck attack, hitting your Char on the head...

Zynn hit the Caterpie causing 3 Damage! The Caterpie uses Tackle and hits Zynn causing 2 Damage!

(your way seems alot easier.)
Your Char comes running up to the pidgey and tackled right into the pidgey. The pidgey slided into a tree and got 4 damage for all of that. The pidgey gets up weakly it uses a quick attack at your Char hitting rit into it only doing 1 damage.
