Larvitar used another Earthquake and I threw a pokeball...

Vulpix takes the damage and jumps out of the Pokéball. It attacked Larvitar with Fire Spin...

I told Larvitar to use a Bite then I picked up the pokeball I threw earlier and threw it...

Wiggle.Wiggle.Wiggle. Vulpix was caught! Just then a Cooltrainer challenges Nuzleaf to a battle. the Cooltrainer sends out :magmar:

I sent out Larvitar and used an Earthquake...

Magmar jumps onto a rock column to avoid some of the shaking. It dives right at Larvitar using DynamicPunch...

I told Larvitar to jump away and use another Earthquake...

Magmar gets the full blow this time, but wasen't down for the count. Larvitar was close enough for Magmar to use DynamicPunch. It was super effective and sent Larvitar into a rock wall...

I returned Larvitar and sent out Rayquaza and used a Crunch

Magmar yells in pain, backing off. Rayquaza uses Extremspeed, Magmar dodges to the right and grabs onto it's tail...

I told Razquaza to use another Extreme Speed to get away from Magma and then to use another Crunch...

Magmar uses a Mega Punch before Rayquaza could bite onto it again. Rayquaza backs off as Magmar uses Flamethrower...

Rayquaza used a Extreme Speed to try and finish Magmar...

Magmar was slammed into the rock wall and fainted. Rayquaza gains a level. Cooltrainer calls back Magmar and then sends out :wartortle:

I sent out Pichu and used a Thudnershock...

Wartortle uses Double Team to dodge the Thundershock, then uses a Mega Punch...

Pichu used another Thundershock...

Wartortle uses Protect and uses Skull Bash. It did a lot of damage on Pichu...

I returned Pichu and sent out Treecko. Treecko used a Giga Drain...

Wartortle screams, hiding into it's shell from the Giga Drain attack. Treecko then uses Quick Attack to slam Wartortle into the rock face. Wartortle pops itself out and uses Mega Punch...

Treecko used another Gigadrain!

Wartortle hid in it's shell, not coming back out again. Treecko gains a level. "Darn." The trainer calls back Wartortle and gives Nuzleaf $200. As the trainer leaves a :numel: walks by...

i quickly threw out Larvitar and used an earthquake...

Numel took a lot of damage from the attack, but it used Sunny Day to power up its fire attacks.

Quickly Larvitar used another Earthquake...

Numel attacked with Flamethrower, but didn't do much damage to Larvitar.

Larvitar used a Bite and I threw a pokeball.

Numel was caught!

You continued on your way for a little while without finding anything. You began to wonder if the rumors about Mount Blaze were really true... weren't there supposed to be plenty of rock and fire types here? But just when you started to think that there was no sign of life around here, you came upon a hiker.

"Heh! Would you look at that!" he said to his Geodude. "We never expected to find anyone out here. Since you're here, how about a battle?"

"Sure," I said sending out Treecko.

Geodude looked eager to battle, but the hiker sent out a :machop: instead.

"Don't worry, Geodude, you'll have your chance," he said. "Machop, Karate Chop now!"

The Kirate CHop barely hurt Treecko do to Types, but just to make sure, I switched to Rayquaza and used Fly.

Machop used Focus Energy while Rayquaza flew up high. The attack hit Machop hard and it was super effective. Machop fought back with Revenge.

Rayquaza was hurt pretty bad, but used an Arial Ace.

Machop looked badly hurt, but it didn't hold back when it attacked with Seismic Toss.

Rayquaza came crashing down, and fell stretching all the way out.
"Rayquaza return," I called.
"Youll be ok," I whispered as I attached its pokéball back on my belt.
"Go Tropius," I said throwing out a pokéball.
Out came the pokémon Tropius.
"Tropius, use Fly!"

Machop braced itself for the attack as Tropius flew up high, but it didn't do much good. The attack hit full force. Machop fainted and Tropius gained a level.

The hiker simply chuckled and sent out the :geodude: that had been waiting impatiently at his side.
