I haven't been on Neopets much the past few months, but when I came back I found out that we could go fishing in Maraqua. What have you caught so far? My first catch was some sort of gray colored fish. I forget what it was called, but I fed it to one of my Aishas. The second time I caught a rockfish, which apparently can't be eaten and isn't good for anything. XD

I've only fished with my mutant Aisha so far and his fishing skill is 3.

Also, does anyone know anything about the fishing avatar and how to get it? It's the one that looks like this:

I got an Old Rotten Left Shoe. Yep. There's nothing better than an Old Rotten Left Shoe. :mellow:

Once, I got a Waterfish and fed it to my Hissi. Its fishing skill is probably 2, while my Uni is 3, I think.

I go fishing everyday. And you get that avatar from cashing a Large Giant Squid I think. I got one this morning.

Both of my neopets' fishing levels are around 80 and 90 I think.

The best thing to catch is the broken bag of coins - fix them and you get quite a bit of NP then.

My best level is 66 right now on my one pet.

You have to catch the biggest squid in the game, I can't remember what it's called. Look up Latias10 and look at my guild. Go to avatar guide.

To catch the squid you are supposed to be over level 90. The first person to ever get the avatar did that.

The best thing I have gotten is a bag of broken neopoints. I fixed them. I only got about 1k. XD

Wow, this was so long ago. Yeah, I know how to get the avvie now. My mutant Aisha is up to fishing skill level 90, and my other pets are in the high 70s. No titanic giant squid yet. :(

I think the best thing I've caught was the book "Fishing Made Easy". I also caught a book called "On Gelert Pond" and "The Old Mynci and the Sea". But mostly I catch kelp and boots and sandals. :angry:

My pet was level 89 when I got it, so i don't think you need to be level 90...

I read somewhere that it has to be level 80 or higher. It's probably just more likely to happen at higher levels. Both of my Aishas are at a high enough level, but no avatar yet. My Poogle and lab pet aren't far behind. I will get this avatar someday! *runs off to catch more stupid boots and sandals* :sweatdrop:

Today, I caught broken fishing pole, shimmery sea grass, bucket of sludge, and landfish. Does anyone besides me think the bucket of sludge looks more like a bucket of sand?

The only fish i've got is a breadfish. Everything else are shoes ;_________;

I have the avvie. My fishing skill was 110 when I got it.

Yeah, I got the avatar a while ago. Besides thatm, I haven't really gotten anything good from fishing. My Ruki's fishing level is around 115 and my Grundo's is around 105.

I haven't fished much, so my Lupe's at level 7 or so while everyone else is level 1. :P
